We had a medical emergency with a family member, and Kiri and Nadine as well as John and Sunny and every one at Laural Ridge was amazing. They kept us informed, worked hard to stable our family member and helped us find a great transition place at time of our family member’s release. Thank you!

It was very calming and peaceful experience I was very happy with my process with getting away from a toxic environment and relationships that I have with my family members I found out that I was trying to heal in the same environment where my abusers and trigger are. But I also realize that I’ve coped well enough in their presence that I’m able to move gracefully amongst these “things” that keep me repeating the same cycles. I choose my peace about all else.

Staff were really nice and group therapy taught me some helpful skills. An extra pillow would have been nice though

Would not recommend. I chose Laurel Ridge based on positive reviews, but my son’s experience was the worst he’s had. He reported being assaulted while in their care, and they did not inform me—I only found out from my child a day or so later. His PTSD symptoms worsened after that. When I requested discharge after learning what happened, they contacted Child Protective Services on me, even though he was less than 24 hours from planned discharge. The timing felt retaliatory and added more stress and trauma rather than support. I hope they seriously review their safety, communication, and discharge practices so other families don’t go through this.

Please don’t take your loved ones there. I can see now why there are to many 1 star reviews. My daughter had the most horrific experience there. She is home now because I asked to discharge her. Lost her clothes never had any under garments for a week. In paper scrubs and paper undergarments. They need a better system to pick up the phones and communicate. I didn’t want to believe the reviews at first but it’s all true. Sad but true

There’s a reason most reviews are negative they are not wrong. I was brought here at one of my lowest points of my life and received no help. They took all my stuff away including shoes that didn’t have laces due to “safety” and then they put me in a room where a guy had all his stuff including his shoes and was acting erratic. Once they finally came to talk to me, they asked me if I had insurance which I said no and then no assistance was offered. I was essentially checked out of any program or any assistance. The ladies in the front also lied to my family that I was not there and had never heard of me. Don’t bring anyone here, look at the reviews everyone has a horrible experience

Tanya Ramirez was an absolute anchor during one of the most terrifying and vulnerable moments of my daughter’s life. As my child’s long term inpatient therapist at Laurel Ridge, Tanya showed an exceptional level of professionalism, insight, and genuine care. She didn’t just “check boxes” — she saw my child, understood the complexity of her emotional state, and advocated for what she actually needed. What stood out most was Tanya’s ability to balance compassion with clarity. She communicated thoughtfully, validated concerns without minimizing them and helped create a sense of safety and stability during an otherwise overwhelming experience. My daughter trusted her and as a parent, that trust is everything. Tanya’s work made a real, measurable difference in my child’s healing process. She is exactly the kind of therapist you want in an inpatient setting: grounded, intuitive, and deeply committed to the well-being of her patients. Laurel Ridge is lucky to have her, and families are better for it.

Richard DeMaar, 16 years. Died April 9, 2006 here at this facility. Possible suicide. P.S. if you want to help your kid try to understand their situation better or take them to a quiet place where they can just relax and think things through. I don't know their situation but there are many other solutions than taking them to a facility where they'll get manhandled and disrespected every single day until they can't take it anymore.
