Part of Lutheran Social Services, Canyon Hills Center is a residential treatment facility situated in the Northern Black Hills of South Dakota. The center empowers young individuals between 10 and 17 years old who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or educational challenges. The center fosters a safe and supportive environment for young individuals that promotes healing and growth from a Christian perspective. From Challenge to Triumph: Transforming Lives at Canyon Hills The center integrates a variety of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) groups and supports young people to manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in healthy ways. The center also provides specialized education programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Additionally, the center offers extensive outdoor recreation opportunities and encourages community involvement, helping individuals develop their social skills and a sense of belonging.
