Substance use disorders often occur alongside primary mental health conditions. Programs for co-occurring substance use disorders focus on both conditions, tailoring treatment for comprehensive recovery.

David needs to me fired. He’s extremely rude & have no sympathy for others. I been a patient here for years and David is my only problem. I most likely won’t be back due to how nasty he handles patients.

This Mental Health Association in Montclair, NJ has been one of my best health choices. My therapist Tara is the sweetest, most understanding therapist I’ve ever had. She knows exactly how to handle any situation. She inspired me to go down the same career path so I can help others just like she helped me. This is definitely the place to go if you’re having mental health issues.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I really felt like I needed to share my experience. I was honestly surprised seeing some of the negative feedback because my experience here has been so positive. I’ve been a client for over a year, working with Tara at the Montclair location, and she has truly made such a meaningful difference in my life. Tara is compassionate, patient, and incredibly attentive. I’ve always felt heard, supported, and respected in every session. She creates a space where I feel safe opening up, and that’s something I don’t take for granted. I also want to recognize the wonderful staff who help make everything run smoothly. David, Karen, Heather, and Dr. Wolf have all been kind, professional, and accommodating whenever I’ve needed help with scheduling or any adjustments. They are responsive and genuinely care about making sure clients feel supported. It’s unfortunate to see negative reviews that might discourage someone from coming here, because that hasn’t been my experience at all. Therapy is very personal and not every provider is the right fit for every person, but this has truly been a supportive and positive place for me. I’ve recommended Tara and this practice many times to people I care about, and I will absolutely continue to do so. I’m very grateful for the care and support I’ve received here.

This is an evil organization. They do not care about people, only money. They ruined my life. If you care about yourself, find help somewhere else.

I was told to give a call this week for an update and some lady named Karen picked up the phone. Very very rude and unprofessional. I asked her for her name after being rude and she even got offended and started to raise her voice. I had just got on the phone with her and she instantly started being very rude. Definitely Not a good look for the facility.

I worked with Michael in the West Orange location. I wanted to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude for all of his help. Words feel inadequate to truly convey how much his assistance has meant to me and my family. He didn't just provide support; he howed genuine care and compassion. It was clear from our interactions that he is truly passionate about his clients, and that passion made all the difference. In a time when I felt lost and overwhelmed, Michael was a steady hand, guiding me and helping me get back on my feet. His follow-up, his attentiveness, and his unwavering support were invaluable. He didn't just do his job; he went above and beyond, demonstrating a level of empathy and dedication that is truly rare. I am still getting on my feet and his ph call the other day made a world of difference to me, you have no idea. Michael, you made me feel seen and heard, and that's a gift I won't soon forget. I'm so grateful for your kindness and your commitment to helping people. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart. You've made a real difference in my life. Best, Latasha

in the previous post, it was indicated that if you are dealing With this location, you should run, Please do listen I think that the staff that will be interacting with you as a counsel or therapist is extremely Disrespectful and unprofessional. I waited for almost a month for an appointment. I explained Using the analogy that if I’m talking about retirement, I don’t want a therapist that is totally out of touch with what that experience is. I also indicated that I would like to be counted by someone who is familiar with people of color or have dealt with them some form of experience about their background. All of a sudden, I was contacted and told that I was paired with some young fresh out of college intern, And not offered a waitlist, then told that there are absolutely no appointments at this location. She used the word “ help me” in this rhetorical manner that was condescending. I was already giving info to call a location in East Orange, which I took as her being nicely yt in sending me to thst location. Tara claimed to have 11yrs under her belt, I guess She missed the part on not arguing with the client. She was hissing at me as if i were trying to harm her, when all i was trying to do i’s get help. Anyway, she did me a favor, how can you help me when you can’t control your own emotion. IF YOUR FEELING SUICIDAL OR HOMICIDAL, DONT RUN INTO TARA, Who closed the conversation with the hangup. UNPROFESSIONAL💯
