I’ve had the pleasure of working with Muir Wood and Bella over the years. The program is outstanding, and Bella represents them with such professionalism, integrity, and genuine care. I hold them in high regard.

Our 15 year old daughter spent almost two months at the Edgewild location in Fall 2025. She was struggling with self harm, suicidal ideation, and substance use. I was so worried about sending her to a residential treatment, but it turned out to be so great for her and our family. The facility is peaceful, calm, clean, and very nice. The staff is mostly great (one of the overnight staff was immature and upset my daughter on one occasion, but when brought to the attention of the supervising staff it was sufficiently addressed). Marianna was an amazing therapist who helped our family learn better ways to communicate and understand our daughter. The nurse and psychiatrist were thorough and proactive in finding the correct medication combination. Our daughter learned a great deal in her group and individual therapy about herself and how to both communicate and advocate for her needs in a respectful way in our family. She also learned a lot about substance abuse and recovery. The online parent classes and support group were so beneficial for us as well. We are continuing with the Muir Wood Parenting Aftercare class (online) which is offered free for a year after your child is in Muir Wood. She has been home for over two months now and the changes are so amazing. After a very tough year, we are hopeful and happily looking toward the future with our daughter. Thank you Muir Wood! If you are scared about the terrible things you have heard about the teen residential treatment industry like I was, that was not our experience at all at Muir Wood. Our daughter is glad that she went to this treatment center and feels as positive about it as we do.

Muirwood was a healing experience for my 12 year old child. It's not an easy process, and it's not uncommon for the kids to beg to leave. Mine did. But we stuck with it and in the end my child is much more grounded and able to cope with life's challenges.

Muir Woods in Riverside is an amazing beautiful rehab facility for teens struggling with substance about or mental illness. The staff is wonderful, communication is consistent.. they work with your kids who needs the help that we as parents have tried but can’t do ourselves.. they can do it.
