I hate leaving bad reviews, I really do. I usually take my appointments to Northwestern Memorial downtown. Never ever have issues at Northwestern Memorial. But I needed to get in sooner for imagining and Woodstock was the hospital with the soonest appointment. I arrived early and wasn’t expecting to get in sooner, the lady at the front desk was very welcoming. But it seems to be other staff were ridiculing me for coming early. I beat traffic and its -10 degrees outside. Sorry I don’t want to wait in my car. Why are the other NM hospitals outside of the city not up to standard? Other locations lack patient care as well.

DO NOT come to Woodstock Northwestern Medicine if you need stitches. You are better off taking the time to go to Huntley, Harvard, or even MercyHealth Urgent Care. We came in so a family member could get stitches in his finger. The wait time start to finish was 5+ hours. There was a handful of patients to come in after us, and leave before us, even though the waiting area was practically empty for hours at a time. The staff at the front desk were friendly however the system is atrocious. When asked why the wait time is so long, no one could provide a good, clear answer. There is no scenario I can imagine where anyone should wait 5+ hours in an EMPTY waiting room for stitches.

Went to the emergency department and got the worst person in the front desk. Shes around 30-40, white, brunette and is very clearly not happy to be here or help anyone. She was busy gossiping with the male cop who was behind the desk sitting practically on top of her. She asked me if I wanted to do a full emergency room visit… why else would I come to the emergency department? When I was brought into the room to check my vitals she was VERY rude and wouldn’t answer my questions. I finally stopped asking her anything because she kept giving me dirty looks every time I asked her a question. She clearly doesn’t want to work here and shouldn’t be allowed to work with patients or people. I’m horrified that she’s able to gossip more with the male cop than do her job properly .
On July 29th , I had to visit the ER at Northwestern's Woodstock facility. Dr John Pacini was the physician on duty that morning and I have to say that if it wasn't for his and his staff's fast , professional, attentive care, I probably wouldn't be here today.Thank you to the whole ER team that was there that morning !
