Unfortunately at this point, I honestly feel like they are holding our family member hostage when we have already requested a safe transport to another hospital that our family member can actually heal in a safer environment. When we call and give give them all the information we need, they say they're going to go do it.. and then they don't. We just confirmed today they said they faxed over the file to the new hosptial but then when we call back, we get a different story that they were discussing the case with the team. Our family member does not feel safe to transfer to a different hospital and at Ocean's due to all the screaming and fighting at night and there are no activities. We've been advocating since last week to get him out of there and still no movement at all. Thank goodness HCA has been patient with us as we've been trying to push for somebody to take action to send over the orders. Im adjusting my review because I did get a call tonight..which I sincerely do appreciate. I hope they stick to their word tommow. Will follow up with an update. But until the paperwork is sent over to HCA, and a decision is made... I will keep this review up.

The owner should be ashamed of himself with all these bad reviews he needs to get rid of all the people that don't care to help the patients or close it down, even down here in Victoria we hear all the negative comments. I have a question is the owner only concerned about getting paid because it sure as hell seems like he doesn't give a damn.

DO NOT come to this hospital! After 1 week my 90 year old confused mother was discharged without the staff informing the family. I only spoke to her psychiatrist once and he told me she would be there 10-14 days. Communication from the nursing staff was difficult at best with very minimal information. I can not get in touch with anyone to find out why and how this happened. I have never had such a poor experience with a healthcare facility asi have with Oceans. I would give zero stars but you have to choose at least one to post.

The staff at this location has not been forthcoming with proper information about visitation rules. I was lied to about wheelchair accessibility and who all is allowed to visit patients within their care. Either they need new staff or they need to take a deep look at their employees and their action while they work. This many one star reviews? The owner of this location needs to take a serious look into what is going here.

Oceans Behavioral Hospital in Katy has been one of the most disturbing healthcare experiences I have ever witnessed. The staff operates with shocking inconsistency. One employee will tell you one set of “rules,” and another will contradict it entirely when it’s time to visit or advocate for your loved one. There is no clarity, no accountability, and no professionalism. It genuinely feels like policies are made up as they go. Families are already under immense stress when a loved one is placed in a behavioral facility. Instead of receiving compassion and transparency, we are met with rudeness, dismissiveness, and an alarming lack of coordination among staff. After speaking with other families in the waiting area, it is clear these concerns are not isolated. Multiple visitors have shared similar frustrations regarding communication and the way patients are handled. Public records show this facility has faced investigations and legal scrutiny. That alone should make leadership pause and reflect but from what I experienced, nothing seems to have improved. Behavioral health patients are among the most vulnerable individuals in our healthcare system. They deserve dignity, structure, safety, and competent care not chaos and indifference. This facility needs serious oversight and accountability. Families should think very carefully before entrusting their loved ones here.

My father was UNKNOWINGLY transferred here from skilled nursing. Have NOT been able to get ahold of a SINGLE person in regards to my dad for an entire week. Finally gave up and will be showing up in person.

My dad was sent to Oceans to ease the “onboarding” and transition process between home and the memory care center. The clinical staff were helpful, performed necessary medical adjustments to his prescription, to control anxiety & depression related to Alzheimer’s disease. However, the patient hygiene care staff were completely off the rails. Dad was bathed 1 time for the 14 day stay, never shaved, his clothes were never washed. He developed a rash due to the lack of care in hygiene. On the transition day back to the memory care center, he was sent in previously“wet soiled” clothing back to the memory care center. I tried to reach out to the Patient care manager to provide feedback & improvement ideas, my text & phone call was never returned. If you are sending your love ones to Oceans, they do have the clinical capabilities, but family members need to be on top of the staffs for patient care.

My cousin recently went there for some emotional issues and came out totally catatonic. I don't know what they did to her there but she's like a human in a shell now, she didn't even recognize me when I went to see her at the home she's at. Stay away from this place.
