Retreat at Sky Ridge

Absolutely love this place it was exactly what I needed for my beginning journey into recovery!! And the housekeeper Tiffany made it even more comfortable by making sure I had the right blankets and pillows for a good nights rest and every time she cleaned my cabin it was exceptionally clean!! The counselors are amazing! The owner Matt Long might be rough on you but it’s only to help you know and learn the skills needed for your recovery and he truly cares about the clients coming in!! Recommend for anyone looking into getting help for their addiction

This was one of the most damaging, manipulative, and unethical experiences I have ever had with a so-called “rehab” facility. I was never officially admitted to Retreat at Sky Ridge, yet somehow my personal and private information was discussed and shared without my consent. That alone should be a serious red flag to anyone considering this place. A facility that claims to value healing and confidentiality failed at the most basic level of privacy and ethics. I was told this was a private rehab facility, yet I was treated with judgment, attitude, and clear bias. The staff member I spoke with, Jordan, presented herself as professional but quickly revealed a dismissive and condescending tone. At one point, she even openly admitted bias, which is completely unacceptable in any healthcare or recovery-related environment. Instead of compassion, guidance, or clarity, I was left confused, discouraged, and made to feel like I was being quietly evaluated and written off behind the scenes. What was most disturbing was the subtle but obvious manipulation. I was made to feel as though decisions about me were being influenced by outside opinions, as if someone had been pressured to say something negative rather than allowing me to speak for myself. I was never given a fair opportunity, never properly assessed, and never treated like a human being seeking help. Instead, I was told to essentially “find my own way,” which is the exact opposite of what a rehab facility is supposed to do. I want to be very clear: I was willing to pay for treatment. I was actively seeking help. I was not asking for favors. I was not trying to game the system. Yet I was discouraged at every turn, subtly pushed away, and made to feel unwelcome. That sends a very dangerous message—not just to me, but to anyone who might be vulnerable, struggling, or genuinely trying to get their life back on track. A place that claims to help people heal should operate with transparency, fairness, compassion, and integrity. Instead, what I experienced felt controlling, judgmental, and quietly manipulative. If a facility cannot even handle an initial interaction ethically, how can anyone trust what happens behind closed doors? How many others have been discouraged, mislabeled, or quietly dismissed? This experience harmed my trust, my mental well-being, and my personal relationships during an already difficult time in my life. A rehab should never add harm, confusion, or shame to someone seeking help. If this is how Retreat at Sky Ridge treats people before they are even admitted, then serious questions need to be asked about how they treat people once they are inside. Because of these actions, I am considering reporting this experience. If they cannot treat me with basic respect, privacy, and honesty, then they cannot be trusted to help others either. I strongly urge anyone reading this to think carefully, ask hard questions, and protect yourself before engaging with this facility. I cannot recommend Retreat at Sky Ridge to anyone.

(A Matter of Principle and Privacy) 0 stars!!!! I was never admitted to Retreat at Sky Ridge, yet my personal information was shared without consent. Jordan called it private rehab facility with attitude she even claimed she is bias!!, yet I was left to “find my own way” and made to feel judged. It seems someone may have been pressured to say something about me. I was willing to pay to get help, but instead I was discouraged. A place meant to heal must honor privacy, compassion, and God’s principles. If they cannot treat me rightly, I will have to report it for if they cannot help me, they cannot help others either.

This is the most amazing rehab facility I’ve ever been to the owner is so understanding and cares about each individual person and the staff are just amazing people and understand addiction I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone they have helped me so much on my journey here I’m still here and working on my recovery but they are maken the process as painless as possible I love this place and can’t wait to over come my addiction

This is not the kind of environment that helps people with soft hearts heal — it seems more geared toward those who can handle a tough, confrontational style.

I have really enjoyed this rehab facility more than any other place I have ever been too by far. The facility is top-notch. Cabins are so nice and comfortable with only two clients per cabin. The food is made fresh every day that is better than five star restaurants in my opinion. So much food with plenty of left overs. The staff are amazing! They care!!!! They actually care about you and your recovery. They spend the time every day teaching us how to manage our lives and pushing the clients to find themselves. Really find themselves and why they use and how to stay sober mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The outings from the facility are so fun which include things like Top golf, canoeing, trails, rivers, and more. You will find what you need here to make a change to your life. This is your answer to finding the right place to go to!!!!!
