Rise in Malibu

Rise in Malibu exceeded my expectations at every level. The setting is peaceful and restorative, but what truly stood out is the care. The staff treated me with unconditional respect, compassion, and professionalism from day one. Therapy was thoughtful and individualized, combining clinical depth with holistic options that supported both physical and emotional healing. The program structure provided accountability while still allowing space to breathe and reset. Group sessions felt safe and meaningful, and the one-on-one work helped me understand patterns and build real tools for life outside treatment. Even the daily routines, meals, and amenities reflected a genuine commitment to wellness and dignity. If someone is looking for a place that balances clinical excellence with humanity and respect, Rise in Malibu delivers. If you are in need of help, I hope you find this review. Not long ago when I was searching for help myself, I will honestly admit, I was skeptical of reviews for "rehab." But here I am writing a review, wanting to share my experience in hope that you too may benefit from all that Rise has given me. Rise was not my first opportunity with rehabilitation, but with the tremendous care and invaluable tools they have shared with me, I do believe it will be my last. From my first hesitant online inquiry and subsequent personal call from the owner Ron, to the minute I walked in the door and eventually out ;), I felt I was safe, in good care and company. Everything from the therapy, to the food, to the faculty and facility were top notch. 10/10. Highly recommend. :)

Rise truly changed my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely cared for by every member of the staff (even the nurses). The environment was warm, supportive, and welcoming in a way that immediately put me at ease. I came in feeling very anxious and unsure of what to expect, but the care and kindness I was met with made a huge difference right away. The techs Luke and Tessa were incredibly kind, attentive, and present throughout my stay. They consistently showed up with patience and compassion, and it was clear they truly cared about the clients (they're all easy to get along with). Nam, the house manager, was amazing and played a huge role in making the house feel like a real home. His presence, and care for everyone created a sense of safety and community that made a difficult time feel manageable. What stood out most was how well everyone got along. There was a strong sense of connection not only between clients, but between staff and clients as well. The groups and therapy sessions were extremely helpful, thoughtful, and well run. I learned a great deal about myself, my patterns, and the tools I need to stay grounded and present. This experience helped me through a very dark period in my life when I felt myself beginning to slip. Rise gave me clarity, structure, and insight at a moment when I really needed it. I left feeling stronger, more self aware, and better equipped to move forward. I highly recommend Rise to anyone who is struggling and looking for genuine support and meaningful growth. I'm writing this lengthy review because I truly mean it. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to start my journey of sobriety - so thank you :)

Rise in Malibu was my 4th treatment center within 2 years. I just couldn't stay sober. I knew from the minute I called Rise in Malibu, things were going to be different. Would you believe the owner himself, Ron, answered me? It was late and he talked to a crazy drunk for nearly 2 hours! I never thought I could find a place with individualized Doctorate level care; and sure as heck never believed as luxurious as Rise in Malibu. I'm a Scientist, Meteorologist by trade. I was looking for a place with results, I had failed 3 previous times (Einstein calls that insanity). Imagine my surprise when Ron himself called me back first thing in the morning and told me I'd been approved. I could come immediately. There just happened to be a room open. A ROOM. Not a bed with roommates, but my own, oceanview room in Malibu. I was amazed. I was there the next day and guess who greeted me at the door to give me a personalized tour after short ride from LAX. (I had come all the way from Alaska) It was the owner, Ron himself. He introduced me to folks at the facility as if they were friends. These were the people I was looking for. Master's Level minimum. Dr's! I couldn't imagine the combined years of expierence I was hearing thrown at me. This was like heading to the Mayo clinic for Cancer. My expectations for treatment were far exceeded. I met with Master's Level Therapists nearly daily, I met with a Doctor 2 to 3 times a week! My room? Stunning, and as much a part of my recovery as their amazing team. A view of the Pacific fit for a postcard. No roommate issues! I gazed upon the peacefull Pacific for hours. Sweet solitude, a delicious reward after a hard day of work. The food was 5 star and better than nearly any resturant in Alaska, I can tell you that. Everyone had their own room, there were ony 6 rooms.....so there were only 6 clients. This made for a tight knit group. We had nightly "talk sessions" out on the patio, gazing upon the ocean. I am friends with 3 of them still. If you are looking for, forgive the pun, "Top Shelf" treatment; get your butt to Rise in Malibu. Ron and his team will treat you like family, not just as a "client." Ron's checked in on me for years and hasn't recieved a dime from me since my "30 days" so long ago. I've never heard a peep from my previous Rehabs. Do yourself a favor and pick up the phone, it's a difficult call but you will talk to folks who understand. This place was started from the heart, of course it's a buisness, but every inch, every step, every person you'll meet.....shows this place is truly a labor of love.

Unfortunately many of us don’t have the support we need for our addictions from family and friends. My lifelong addiction was a well guarded secret until I arrived at Rise. I had been through many treatments before but coming to Rise was truly like coming home. I was not judged and I felt an immediate sense of community with staff and clients alike. It was a wonderful view of what could be possible if I followed the path of the therapists and professionals. I cherished my time at Rise - not only because it was essentially a 5-star resort with amazing amenities and cuisine - but because the staff and my peer group were exemplary. Dr. Mark, Dr. Benjamin, Dr. Raskin were like no other. Team members like Clayton, Cat and others shared their own stories of recovery and in a short amount of time I knew I was home, with people who had what I wanted. Rise is a blessing to my family and I and if you are fortunate enough to attend their program, you’ll understand.

I recently completed my stay at Rise at Mayberry Ranch, and I can confidently say that the experience was nothing short of transformative. Having attended multiple rehab facilities in the past, I was skeptical about how Rise would compare, but I quickly learned that it is in a league of its own. No Other Rehab can hold a Candle to Rise. The Rise Treatment Track far surpassed any other program I had attended. The quality of care and the level of expertise among the staff is unparalleled. From the Doctorate Level Therapy provided by highly qualified professionals like Dr. Raskin, the medical head, to the compassionate support from therapists like Dr. Neesha and Dr. Mark, I felt I was in the hands of the best in the industry. What truly stood out to me was the atmosphere at Rise. I felt safe, respected, and supported by the Owners and all the staff. The owners, Ron and Jennifer, are exceptional. Their genuine commitment to each client’s recovery is evident, and they made me feel safe, respected, comfortable and heard in every interaction I had with them. I consider them a continuing intrical part of my support system. Their dedication to helping others achieve sustained recovery is inspiring. Overall, Rise at Mayberry Ranch exceeded all my expectations. I walked away from every encounter feeling inspired and uplifted. If you or someone you know is seeking a rehab facility that truly cares and delivers results, I wholeheartedly recommend Rise. They are not just a treatment center; they are a community that fosters healing and growth.
