Saguaro Recover has gender-specific sober living with a recovery coach in Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Houston. Their Tortuga location in Scottsdale serves men with addiction to drugs, alcohol, or addictive behaviors like gambling or porn. Their house’s goals include a strong support system, mental hygiene, spiritual development, physical health, and a sense of purpose. A house manager is on-site 24/7 to assist clients. Amenities for Fitness and Community The house has a TV, a pool, an outdoor lounge with a grill and a lawn chess board, a fitness room, and Internet access (with limits or monitoring technology depending on the addiction). There is an on-site computer with a desk space to work, a printer, and a copy machine. Clients receive linens and house supplies for their room. Clients can also go to a nearby gym with a membership covered by their stay. Structure throughout the Week A week at Saguaro includes chores, drug and alcohol testing, 5 group dinners a week with dining accommodations, 1 group house meeting, and weekly goal planning with a recovery coach. Clients also have to attend 4 recovery meetings a week outside the house and may need to secure a sponsor or additional outside recovery mentor. Clients are not encouraged to have a job during their stay, as Saguaro wants them to focus on recovery.
