Founded in 1974, The Way Back Inn Maywood is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals rebuild their lives after substance and gambling use disorders. The center offers multiple levels of care, including Extended Residential Care (ERC), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) services. With 23 beds, the facility offers structured, long-term support for adult men to heal and recover, with each participant residing for 90 days to one year. A Path to Independent Recovery In the ERC program, individuals receive clinical services, housing, and meals, with personalized treatment plans. After completing the program, they can transition to Recovery Homes, where they receive less frequent clinical support, preparing them for independent living. The center also offers intensive outpatient (IOP) for in person, and outpatient (OP) services via zoom or telehealth. Teens ages 13-17 can also participate in outpatient services. Rebuilding and Empowering Lives The center provides a comprehensive approach to recovery, including individual treatment plans, clinical services, and a focus on rebuilding life skills. Family psychoeducation therapy groups are held weekly to support patients and their loved ones address addiction-related challenges and their impact on the family system. The center’s goal is to promote lasting recovery through support, therapy, and community involvement.

I would love to know what kind of recovery program these people are running. You can't go to library to stay warm and look for a job, you cannot go to the same daily meeting, you cannot take Ubers, and it seems there number one item of importance is that you update your address to theirs so they can collect state funding and if you don't the counselors threaten you with a $3,000 fine. Lets talk about shaming the residents. My daughter went to the dentist to improve her health and that was looked down on, as she did not plan this during the Sunday plan your week and if you say go to an extra meeting to help maintain your sobriety that is also against the rules. I would stay far far away from this place as it looked great from the outside, but those views changed quickly.

Never go there. Unprofessional staff. Drug dealing on the premises. Cockroaches. Bed bugs. They took my credit card/ debit card away from me the first day there. I was unable to use my resources to get food, ect. Also very racial staff. One told me to go back to the Country I was from. I moved out after staying there for a month. IT IS NO PLACE TO GET SOBER. No structure.

Wayback Inn staff members Don't have any degrees they're not certified to be consolers. And also the clients are people who are homeless. That need a place to live a lot of the staff. Members have been there for years
