They also incorporate holistic approaches like acupuncture, tai chi, mindfulness, reiki, and yoga. All of their care is trauma-informed and individuals will walk away with practical tools and life skills that aid in long-term recovery. AKUA also has a free alumni aftercare program consisting of support meetings, peer support, and alumni events. Heal in a Home-Like Setting At 324 University Drive, men stay in shared rooms with other men in recovery. The residence has an on-site gym and laundry, with a spacious fenced-in backyard, and a chef prepares healthy meals daily to aid in recovery. Residents also have access to transportation services and 24/7 support during their residential stay with AKUA.
