This place was supposed to release my mom this past Friday, and even set up who was to pick her up, then on that day as they were preparing discharge papers, they said oh, nevermind she has to stay, some third party therapist came in and said that, now they’re saying she can’t be released until her next court date in April APRIL!! And this place is supposed to help mental health patients??? They need investigated THOROUGHLY, in my opinion they’re forcing patients to stay longer based on other reviews “for concerns for them” when everyone in their life says they’re fine and not a danger to their self or others for insurance fraud, to rake in money for each and every day of their stay that they force upon them after their hold is up!!! That’s why they mess with those on Medicaid not anticipating that a family member is gonna hire help, this place needs investigated EXPEDITIOUSLY!!!

We were very disappointed in the lack of communication from the staff and the social worker. Phone calls were not returned to us. There was no discharge plans in place . We would not recommend this facility. I would not even give it one star however I wasn’t able to post this unless one was given.

We had a family member at this facility. He got really good care. He said the staff was very kind and compassionate. The social worker stayed in contact and they developed a good care plan for him. He had a very good experience. Would definitely recommend.

This is the last time I'm going to ask for ALL my health care records! I was told after waiting over a month that if I wanted the Healthcare records of grievances calling the Board of Health, the police I needed a lawyer! I need a lawyer obviously?! These peeps will never own up to what goes on in that facility, it's not healthy in any way! Today is January 24th 2026 updating letting all know God will find a way and send me the right lawyer. My name is Sherri Fallon & I was a patient at this hole from hell for 10 days! In 10 hrs followed by10 days I had so much trama put on me from the lack of care! Hippa violations, the violence, people grabbing your private parts exposing all of they're parts, no soap, sharing community bathrooms, watching a male & also a female pleasuring themselves at breakfast, lunch, dinner, with snacks in between while staff & others laughing about it! It's disgusting! I was assaulted in there when a patient took a chair & threw it across the room. I was the one that the chair chose & it took me down. They didn't ask if I was okay. One nurse tossed a cold pack at me since my ankle was swollen. The patient who threw the chair went to the second floor Serenity which they should just call surrender, she got needles in her arms. I asked for the police to come out for a report. The nurse who is in charge that night told me that she had called the police. I waited for hours shift changed and I finally asked the next nurse when are the police coming. She responded that Nurse G never called the police that I should think about it overnight. The next day I asked for them to call the police again so I can make a report. After I asked about 50 times reluctantly they had an officer come out and I demanded that a report be wrote up. It wasn't until I was out of there that I found out from Cincinnati police District 2 that they never wrote a report or had any evidence of them coming out. The police officer who told me that told me I needed to get a lawyer. I had already heard I needed to get a lawyer the day before when I requested all of my medical records from Blue Ridge and when I went to pick them up there were only bits and pieces. Their medical director told me if I wanted anymore of my records of my grievances, the incidents that happened with the chair, along with the Hippa violations, asking for BOH to come in I needed to get a lawyer. I have so many horrible stories and Trauma from this place! The first time meeting who was to be my doctor she was fighting with a MHT mental health technician about a door being open as I was standing there waiting on her to finish arguing with them while two young men were down the hall screaming, kicking, taking off their clothes! I seen more testicles asses & all in 24 hours there then I care to count! PLEASE the horror stories to tell of this place oml don't send any of your loved ones here! IT'S TRAUMA NOT HEALTH OR HEALING. If anyone has questions please feel free to reach out to me and I will tell you my experiences!

If you want to send a loved one here for help, please be aware that they dont try to help patients take their medications, they let them slip further into psychosis, they dont respond to your phone calls and they dont encourage clients to involve family supports, they also dont make sure your loved one leaves with appts for help and medications, and some of the staff antagonize patients to get them to act out, safety there is not very involved, with patients attacking each other

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. My mom is currently there, they told her she would only be there for 72 hours which would be up on the 24th. She’s doing their “groups” participating in everything and they just informed her she wouldn’t be home for Christmas, didn’t give her a reason why nothing and when I called up there (I wish I could screenshot my call log) I was given 5-6 different numbers to call. The nurse director or whoever acts like she has no idea what’s going on….so you’re telling me that your nurses aren’t doing their job? My mom is 63, she’s scared they haven’t given her anything to wash with, she has no panties, they JUST gave her, her medicine which she takes to stay alive. My mom is a heart patient, a lung patient, she has COPD, she’s expressed to them she is scared of her roommate and they basically acted like they didn’t care. She said the food is absolutely horrible and it’s made her throw up. They wanted her to sign herself in she said no so they told her they would send it to probate and make the judge make her stay in there which is absolutely a psycho thing to say to somebody, at this point their keeping my mother against her will, she’s being kidnapped. I truly TRULY would not recommended this place, please do not send your family here, UC psych ward is better than this place. I’m currently contacting our family lawyer to see how I can get my mom home to me for Christmas. Please do not send your family here and whatever you do DO NOT COME HERE

I’ve had great experiences in my time at Blueridge Vista’s outpatient programs. Wish I’d known how to seek care here even earlier. The staff and other patients contribute to a supportive and constructive environment that’s been of immeasurable help to me during a time of life transitions. Ms Darlene, usually the first person you’ll see when you arrive, goes far beyond coordinating the many things she’s responsible for to bring a sense of family to the programs. Mr Harry and Ms Candice are caring and highly capable therapists. I’ve learned a lot from them, and appreciate how they foster a setting that has allowed me to learn a lot from other patients in their groups too. Mr Dave, Ms Jess, and the other providers are detail oriented and great at what they do. I look forward to the time Mr Dave spends outside of nursing to teach practical topics to the group. Mr Nick’s yoga and meditation instruction has been a source of grounding and progress for me in a time of transition, as have Ms Mackenzie’s recreational and artistic therapy sessions. Ms Laura does an amazing job keeping the programs running smoothly and as a source of support to her staff and to the patients. I’m very thankful to have spent some time here. Highly recommend the outpatient programs at this facility for people in a wide variety of situations. Anyone who’s intentional about benefitting from the resources here may find these programs to be a great source of education, stability, and support in moving forward.

Inpatient……. BAD!!! SO DIRTY. Everyone has to use the same shower room on 1st floor. Staff is good. I think they do their best with what they have to work with….. I give them a lot of credit for staying there and helping us. Good job staff. I truly blame management… ALSO. NO. NO. NO. HAND SOAP ANYWHERE!!!!
