Central Clinic Behavioral Health Child and Family Treatment Center

This review is for the Central Connection intake team at Logan Hall off Burnet Ave. It’s not always easy to ask for help, but everyone—from the person who greeted me for check-in, to Jerry who advised on benefits, to Erica who handled my mental health assessment—was supportive, helpful, thorough and kind. The assessment itself felt like therapy, and I left with concrete tips for next steps on benefits. You can tell they care and I’m very grateful for their help. The appointment had to be scheduled well in advance and I’m sure they’re slammed, but if you’re overwhelmed, in need and don’t know where to start, this is a great resource.

I was a client for several years. I went there because I only had medicaid and no health insurance. The therapists that I saw, with one exception were unprofessional and not helpful. It's unfortunate that indigent people have to resort to mediocre care at these government funded facilities. The problem with the mental health care system is that every patient is unique and has different needs. The specialists should refer their patient to someone who is equipped to provide adequate treatment. I imagine that there is a shortage of highly skilled therapists. I would've been better off not seeing a therapist at all than seeing mediocre ones at this place.

New leadership needed.

Central Clinic is an absolutely fantastic community clinic. I've been going to Central Clinic for a couple years now, and everyone I've ever worked with have been nothing short of fantastic! I do therapy and psychiatric medicine management there, and I don't have a single bad thing to say. Even the secretaries who work up front are incredibly lovely and kind. Only trouble I've ever had is sometimes it can take a few weeks to get signed to a provider, as they are very busy, but this is because they are one of the only clinics around who provide services to people on Medicaid, which is a blessing itself. Highly recommend.

Worse now then I ever was. My doctor doesn't spend much time when he calls Always late or I have to call him.. Not helpful at all. I feel he isn't concerned about my issues. Amber Finders

Unprofessional..lack of collaborative efforts between doctor and patient..constantly imposing their will and not listening..most are rude and condescending.

I was wrongly diagnosed, and not helped with true issues of ADD/LD and hormone PMDD (dangerous issue) and abusive spouse causing these generational issues mentioned, when couldn’t safely cleave with first spouse (because it is obedience to cleaving safely that breaks generational issues) because of his abuse issues. causing me to be in danger of many others harming me in disobedience because of no help with him. and to not help was harmed then by many others because not able to safely cleave with my first spouse leaving me in danger of harm by many, where twisting abuse occurred starting at central clinic, they attribute the side effects of medication to me, not to the medication. 2002-2012. This destroyed me, my life and continues with no help for my spouse and marriage or resolve of harm in records that went everywhere and continues with their failure to fix this harm when confronted in writing in 2013 When noticed something was wrong when I was being abused 2010 and onward by them. This destroyed me, my husband further, my marriage, our children and children’s children to the third and 4th generation unless proper help for Him, And now children and the worst cause by their harm, is Divorce, that needs undone and everything else as well as all records helped, and reputation restored to include but may have missed a lot of harm to me and life But listed some ; siblings, parents, family/children/our descendants/education/ health/ wellbeing/ spiritual life/ healing/ ministry / finances/ past, present and future affected/ rest/ peace/ protection/ help from others and God /joy/ faith /likability/ helpfulness to others/ work/ trust in others/ reputation/ friendships/ Drs / hospitals / relationship with others, friends, collages, and children, education, work history, all destroyed which then affected our Nation/ and world. If Elijah (duel Prophasy) fails to turn the disobedient back to the Lord ( first and second coming of Jesus) the whole world will be cursed. Malichi 4 KJV because their harm went everywhere, and affected my prayers and ability to help myself and them. Central clinic, they wouldn’t correct it. And I was prevented from getting a lawyer because of their harm and it prevented me from stoping a divorce to stop the harm timely. Now no one wants to help and they do not have the records anymore. Please pray and help in anyway you can. I need divorce and criminalization of me, the innocent, defamation undone and help with safe cleaving so can obey God and be blessed, protected, and be a blessing again. Tina Wisler

My husband got referred to this office and called on 2/15 to set up an appt. They took his SSN and insurance and said she would call him back that day or tomorrow. 3 days later, no phone call back and my husband is confused as to why he hasn’t heard back. He had to get transferred 3 times today just to get to the correct receptionist. While he was explaining what happened about not getting a return phone call, the woman rudely interrupted him and says, “Who are you again???” My husband proceeds to give his name and continue the explanation he was interrupted from. She puts him on hold and comes back to the phone to say, “Your appointment will be 2 hours, you need to come into the clinic, and my first available is Thursday.” My husband says, “I’m actually just curious why I never got a phone call back from your facility.” She says, “Well I’m sorry but I’m the only one here and I’ve been backed up.” My husband replies, “ I just need to know why my personal information was taken and I never got a return phone call.” The woman continues to explain she didn’t have time to call him back. My husband expresses to the woman that he does not want to be a burden to the company and if he can’t even get a phone call back, he doesn’t want to cause any further issues. There was an extreme lack of professionalism in this facility and the woman he spoke to on the phone. We do NOT recommend anyone attend this facility to receive psychiatric treatment because I promise you, you will leave needing more therapy from the way they treat you and the way they talk to you. We will happily take our business elsewhere.
