Family Haven

The nursery has been a lifesaver! My nonverbal autistic daughter loves going and it gives me a few hours to spend with my older kids.

Our family has been at family haven for a little over a year and half. We have used the therapy services, parenting classes and respite care (nursery). I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful resource locally. As a mother of two children with different levels of care, I’ve long needed to find a village to support my family and I. My oldest daughter received therapy from Jamie Call and I’m so grateful she was blessed with a therapist who had background in special needs. All of us started with high levels of anxiety and stress but slowly, we saw our loads lighten as we were prepared and taught how to manage with our circumstances. My oldest especially, was able to understand her emotions better and vocalize them in therapy and later at home. My youngest, who requires more specialized care, was able to enjoy the nursery bit by bit. Because of how home centered the nursery is, and how kind and patient the staff has been, my youngest was able to stay longer for me to have a couple hours to myself. I’m also grateful for the parenting classes that have been held monthly. No one ever gets taught how to parent, usually we follow how we were parented or try to steer away from it but it becomes overwhelming. The parenting classes were able to guide me in my role as a mother to young children. I highly recommend the classes to parents in whatever stage they’re in. Whether they have infants, pre adolescents , adolescents and/or adult children, the parenting classes are for all stages! Last but not least, I also want to share how grateful i am for the events that family haven has had such as the kite making family event and the teddy bear family event. It was great to meet more families who have been in similar situations like our own. As well as, we were able to enjoy family time together and not worry about cooking dinner or entertaining the kids. The events allowed us to fully engage with our children without stress or anxiety.

Wonderful therapists. This is THE place to go for children with trauma. I can recommend with 100 stars: Stuart Harper, Joy O’Banion, and Morgan Oliphant. EMDR, Play Therapy, and talk therapy. I heard about this place while attending the CJC (if you know, you know). There is a longish waitlist but it is so worth it. Great communication. The administration and billing teams communicated so well. I always knew what was happening. Shout out to Mackenzie and Ellie. Just great. Nursery. For emergencies, the facility has a nursery with safe supervision, people who care, and fun for the littles. I simply cannot recommend Family Haven enough. They are opening a site in Lehi and I am so excited for the team and the future clients! Truly a great place.

Family Haven nursery has been a such a big Blessing for me and my kids!! I can’t express how grateful I am that all the stuff from nursery have been so nice and has helped us a lot to arrange times/days for my 3 kids to be there when I have needed help so I can do my errands/ me time/ and date nights. They are so great and the caregivers so good to my kids. My kids love this place and get excited when they know they are going to be there! My husband and I feel comfortable bringing our kids here and know that our kids are safe and happy!

With such a place, I can't fathom why it only has five stars. The location, the people, and the service are all heavenly. It's the best place our children have ever been to, and it has greatly helped my family grow. Not only the nursery but also the therapists are all amazing.

This place is a goldmine for families and children. I am incredibly grateful for the amazing people at Family Haven. I worked with Joy O Bannion and I can’t speak highly enough of her. Her experience and dedication helped me see a miracle in my own family. She was fair, smart, and always had very helpful advice. I have worked with many professionals over the years, and she was hands down the best. I saw results that I hadn’t got from others. She literally changed the life of my kids and my family. I would give Family Haven more stars if possible. The thing I liked best was that she really cared about my family. She wanted to help and had the experience and knowledge to really assist in a hard situation. I would confidently recommend their services to anyone that needs help and wants to see results. I can’t begin to express my gratitude towards her and the positive impact that she had on my family. My children are thriving, happy, and moving in a good trajectory. I owe much of it to the help that I received at Family Haven. The old saying, that one person can make a difference is true. I watched that firsthand as a saw the results in my own children. I will always be in debt for the help that Joy provided. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This father has nothing but praise to give for the work that goes on inside the walls of this building. Thank you for your service and your contribution to the community. You will never fully understand the difference that you have made.

I wish I knew about this place sooner, but it’s so helpful to have something like this. My kids love it. They get to socialize for a couple hours, they get to play and interact with adults and other kids. It’s super nice inside, the staff are welcoming.
