The Allen house saved my life and I truly owe my life to the Allen house staff for making my transformation so comfortable and welcoming. I was in Allen House back in 2006. I didn't go there thinking things would be pleasant and fun. I knew it would be strict just by their name. Allen House! I've been to a few houses, Walden House, Phoenix House, and Allen House is not any different. They will give you the tools you need to survive but whether you chose to use them or not will be up to you. It's not a vacation, but they will challenge you. But its all good... You will probably even get yelled at and made to wash the dishes or something, but its for you! Learn to do something different than getting high. You may just like it once you've tasted living without drugs again...
