I want to give my deepest thanks to Hope House Treatment Center for the incredible care and support they provided my brother. From the moment he arrived, the staff treated him with patience, compassion, and true understanding. They didn’t just offer treatment — they offered hope, guidance, and a safe place for him to rebuild himself. The team at Hope House went above and beyond. They communicated with our family, reassured us during the most stressful moments, and treated my brother with dignity and respect every step of the way. It’s clear that everyone there genuinely cares about the people they help. Because of Hope House, my brother has a fresh start and a renewed sense of purpose. Our entire family is grateful for the difference they’ve made in his life. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hope House Treatment Center to anyone looking for a place that truly wants to see their loved one succeed.
Hope House is an excellent choice for drug and alcohol recovery. The staff is excellent!
Hope House Treatment Center saved my brother’s life. He walked into Hope House six months ago and has been clean since leaving. Thank you Hope House for taking good care of him.
I will never be able to express how grateful I am for the Hope House Treatment Center. They were pivotal to the recovery of my best friend. The staff were welcoming, professional, and showed they genuinely care. Their compassion was demonstrated through their structured focus on his healing while he was within their care. They took the time to get to know him so that they could truly help him. Hope House provided invaluable encouragement and guidance throughout his journey with them. While also providing him with long term recovery tools to use after leaving their care. He now has a newfound confidence in life and is moving forward in a positive direction.
Hope House Treatment Center has been an absolute blessing for my family. My cousin recently completed treatment there, and the level of care, compassion, and professionalism they received was truly remarkable. From day one, the staff made them feel safe, supported, and understood. You can tell that everyone there genuinely cares about the people they serve. The environment is positive, structured, and truly focused on healing. My cousin often talked about how encouraging the counselors were and how much the program helped them grow—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. They left Hope House with renewed confidence, better coping skills, and a real sense of direction for their future. I’m incredibly grateful for everything this center has done for our family. If you or a loved one needs help, Hope House Treatment Center is a place you can trust. They go above and beyond.
I recently admitted to Hope House for opioid detox and unfortunately had a very negative experience. I was discharged in the middle of detox after a conflict with staff. I raised my voice and used profanity after repeatedly asking for help and feeling ignored and disrespected. While I take responsibility for my part, I was also in active withdrawal and expected more compassion, patience, and professionalism from a treatment facility. The environment felt unstructured and some of the staff spoke to clients in a dismissive or confrontational way, which made an already difficult medical process even more stressful. Instead of de-escalating or offering clinical support, I was asked to leave abruptly while still in detox. I hope the administration reviews how staff interact with patients who are vulnerable, uncomfortable, and in crisis. People seeking treatment deserve to be treated with dignity, even when they are struggling.
I am so upset!! I went for treatment yesterday October 10th. I checked in everything seemed OK. I have diabetes and my sugar was so high they sent me to the hospital. They said this would not affect my treatment that someone would pick me up. I got released today Saturday morning I called and on the weekends no one answered the phone. I had to ask my family to come get me to take me back. Mind u we don't live close at ALL. I get back and they treat me horribly mad me stand out side and a bigger blk gentleman told me I could not come back that I could call Monday? Monday was a holiday? So messed up i cant even understand why they would do this to me. I don't even live close. I was treated like i did something wrong. I did everything they told me to do. I had to ask for my things they acted as if they didn't even want to give them to me. Then to top it off I get home and they didn't give me my insulin or tester. This has put me and my family in a really bad place and I really needed the help. I'm glad this was not court ordered. This is a huge issue that the board of directors should look into. You have no number for anyone in charge on the weekends and why staff told me one thing and the baby sitter on the weekend kicked me out for having to go to the hospital. Feeling confused and trying to get help I feel like the whole system is set up for you to fail. Sincerely RP
Terrible. Nursing stole MY prescription of Xanax that I had brought in. They were supposed to be holding them locked up in Nursing until I discharged. When I discharged they said they didn't have them. This was back in 2014 or 2015 or so when I was in there when this went on. They also gave special treatment to certain patients I saw it go on ALOT!. Like access to the freezer for ice cream when they wanted etc.. There was patients sleeping around with other patients going from room to room that were married etc.. so much corruption going on at this place it was DISGUSTING!. They also left me in withdrawal they wouldnt give me my prescription of Xanax they made me withdrawal from it the entire stay and did nothing for me the entire time I was there. If I knew back then what I know now about law and my rights I would have possibly sued them and reached out to the Nursing Board for Maryland and I definitely should have reached out to the State Senator about HOPE House unfortunately it's been over a decade ago now or so..
