Located in North Bethesda, Maryland, Odyssey OCD Anxiety Center is a 16-week intensive outpatient program (IOP) treating obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, and related disorders through evidence-based care. Their program provides 3-hour therapy sessions 5 days a week for individuals ages 8 and older. Families throughout Montgomery County, including Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, Potomac, and surrounding communities, can access structured treatment while continuing school, work, and home responsibilities. Build Coping Skills Through Exposure Work Treatment centers on exposure and response prevention (ERP), where clients gradually face fears without relying on compulsions, avoidance, or safety behaviors. The program also includes individual therapy, process groups, specialty groups, skills groups, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Clients practice exposures throughout the week, helping them build confidence managing anxiety in everyday situations instead of avoiding triggers. Reinforce Skills Through Daily Practice Clients attend treatment 5 days a week in a structured outpatient setting with an 8:1 client-to-staff ratio, allowing more individual guidance and feedback during groups. Clinicians track symptoms weekly and adjust treatment plans based on progress. Families are involved through psychoeducation and parent support, helping them better respond to OCD and anxiety behaviors at home.
