Good to be free but the food is terrible.Some of the staff is unprofessional, and some are downright rude they look at you like you're still an inmate and talk to you like you're not a human i have been here 7 months, and it's gotten better. I do get to go home on the weekends.and see my kids it's that they are holding me longer than they need to
This facility is a halfway house for the State of Indiana and for the Federal Bureau of Prisons(BOP), they also have a section that does house veterans which is on the fourth floor where the chow hall is, along with the females of the building. I was here for six days til they decided they couldnt take care or meet my mental health needs but they accepted me knowing what I had. The case managers are a failure at the basic level and are not helping anyone. You cant leave the building until you complete A&0 which takes about three to ten days. Now there are some good staff members that work there and care for the residents that are there but when youu get into admin, the story changes. I lost my limited freedom because they wanted to be dumb and stupid.

My ex husband just got here yesterday on parole. He was told it was a shelter for vets. They locked him in and won’t let him out. He missed his meeting with his parole officer today. He’s out on parole. This is a lockdown facility. I’ve been sitting outside for 2 hours to take him to his parole officer! It’s literally just a different prison. What the heck!
