Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders, which affect the majority of individuals diagnosed, integrates care for mental health conditions with primary substance use. Personalized care plans are crafted to effectively address each condition simultaneously, optimizing the healing process.

Dr. Newcomb is an AMAZING doctor. He is very empathetic and super understanding. He works with you and with your schedule to make sure you get the care you need. He isn't judgy and doesn't look down on you for things in your life. I would recommend him a million times over!!!!!! Front desk is always super helpful and works around your schedule. Dr. Newcombs nurses are very thorough and patient. The lab is quick and very good at their job ex when it comes to getting blood and things like that on someone who is a hard stick, they have had no issues.
Shawnee health has had a lot of staff leave in the last 5 years. Rachel Johnson is wonderful. She always listens and she cares about my opinion. There are new people I've seen there recently who don't even seem to be qualified to work there. I saw a new male NP in Same Day who misdiagnosed my illness. At the Carterville location a medical assistant in training didn't even know the correct way to take my blood pressure. I had to tell her she needed to tighten the cuff because it was so loose it displayed a totally inaccurate reading. She was more concerned with talking like she knew what she doing. Calling about medication issues and refills is like a part time job. There been times that 2 and a half weeks went by and I called at least every couple days, but still no progress for a nurse to get info about my medication from a doctor. I had been approved by my insurance to get medical equipment. I called for over 3 weeks for doctor Lutchka to sign and send info to the medical supply company. There's been several times that staff supposedly called me but I never got a phone call. I went to the office only to find out that the doctor wasn't there that day, someone was supposed to call me to let me know, no one called. I mentioned so many times that another doctor changed some of my medications, but they never seem to add it to my chart. I decided to go to SIH for a primary care doctor. They had the paper work sent for my medical equipment in two days. The communication between staff and patients is terrible
Son muy atentos on las personas
Had a great experience with the whole office
Called Shawnee health for an appointment on Tuesday and had to reschedule for today Dec 3. We get to the appointment, only to be told the Scheduling clerk didn't properly schedule the appointment. How is someone's incompetency the patients problem? Then on top of that they insist on aggravating my wife's inability to breathe by requiring her to wear a mask. Utterly disgusting and ridiculous.
Always polite and caring.
If you are looking to be listened to and get actual help this isn’t the place, specifically Ethan and his nurse are not the people. I had two appointments canceled by the office due to very understandable circumstances, once he or his kid was sick and the second was the office closed. No biggie, make a new appointment. Now I was trying to get seen for two chronic issues I’ve been dealing with since I was a kid, and this was my first time having a regular pcp I was allowed to see. I sent a message explaining my issues were severely affecting my day to day and if they could I’d really appreciate being seen earlier and they did. Ethan came in early even, I was so grateful and it gave me such high hopes. Well before he comes in his nurse wishes him luck with me, not even trying to be quiet and he laughs and thanks her. So nice. Then he puts me on the same meds I told him I have been on numerous times and didn’t work for one of my issues, told me he was over-medicating me three times for what he thought to be an std when I told him uti, well fast forward and the er had to intervene and it was a uti that he UNDER medicated. Then told me that all of my joint pain I’ve been experiencing (which is all of my joints as I am hyper mobile but had no opportunity to get to tell him because he was rushing me out no questions) was just an issue with my knees. Afterwards I had asked him about medications in relation to lithium that I take, and prescribed me meds that could have caused lithium toxicity. He put in zero effort or research and could have caused a lawsuit. I had really high hopes at first but this office has left me feeling worse than when I arrived, and dehumanized. I hope Ethan and his nurse learn some basic human respect, and if you want to be listened to and have a doctor that cares about your health this isn’t the office, and Ethan is not the doctor.
One of the worst offices. Dr Hassan is never on time. The last 4 times I have seen her the shortest I have waited after being put in the room is 45 minutes. Most of the time it’s well over an hour and the nurse staff just stare at you blankly when you ask if they know what’s happening. I take my lunch break to do doctor appointments I can’t wait an hour and half to be seen by a doctor for her to spend 5 minutes in the room so she can refill my prescriptions.
