Located in northwestern Wasatch County, Cascade Lodge provides care for boys ages 12 to 18 with severe anxiety conditions through evidence-based therapies, recreational therapy, animal therapy, and nutritional support. Some of the conditions they treat include generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), OCD, agoraphobia, panic disorder, and body dysmorphic disorder. At the center, adolescent boys can participate in various adventure outings while continuing their education through small, teacher-led classes. College prep is also provided. In addition, Cascade Lodge has an evidence-based therapy emphasis and features therapies such as exposure response prevention (ERP), EMDR, motivational interviewing, group therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Some of their off-site recreational activities include rock climbing, downhill skiing, and mountain biking. The center emphasizes addressing the body, soul, and mind of clients and emphasizes themes such as authenticity, relationships, and resilience. On their expansive green campus, clients can enjoy chef-prepared meals, play tennis, do art projects, and participate in individual and group counseling sessions. Treatment is long-term and lasts as long as clients need.
