Corner Canyon Health Centers (Corner Canyon) treats mental health conditions with a comprehensive array of assessments, therapies, and advanced treatments. They address co-occurring substance and behavioral addictions. Thorough clinical assessments and genetic testing give each client a treatment plan personalized to their needs and diagnosis. After residential treatment, clients can attend partial hospitalization and the intensive outpatient program. Built on Clinically Informed, Innovative Care Corner Canyon centers treatment on 4 cornerstones: assessment, innovative treatment, brain-based treatment, and transition. They provide health, psychological, and psychiatric assessments. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, stellate ganglion block shots, neurofeedback, and nutritional psychiatry help clients recover holistically. In their 6-week ketamine-assisted treatment program, clinically approved clients receive a ketamine shot and a following 1:1 therapy session to process and reflect. Evidence-Based Therapies for Intensive Healing Clients at Corner Canyon receive weekly group and 1:1 therapy. Their evidence-based therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), accelerated resolution therapy (ART), and equine therapy. Clients can also enjoy holistic therapies like mindfulness meditation and music therapy. Corner Canyon provides an inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ clients, welcoming them to reside with others of their identified gender identity. Compassionate Mental Health Treatment and Continuing Care Corner Canyon’s trauma-informed care addresses complex trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), along with other mental health conditions. These include obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, anxiety disorders, suicidal ideation, and personality disorders. Their location at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains provides unique recreational opportunities throughout the year. Clients can seamlessly transition into Corner Canyon’s outpatient programs, which include flexible partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs).

When I came to Corner Canyon I was lost. I was 31 years old, struggling with addiction issues and my own mental health, and didn't know which way to turn. I was very fortunate to land here. Through the help of some people who loved and cared about me, they got me in the doors of this wonderful program. I was nervous at first, but I soon realized I was amongst peers who were feeling and going through the same things, which put me at ease. I was surrounded by staff who themselves had been through their own treatment and had such compassion and support for me and my well-being. The Clinical team is wonderful and they are all highly trained experts. They practice many different modalities and with that they were able to get to the core of my issues to treat both my trauma, and subsequently my substance abuse. They did this with such grace, compassion, and empathy, that I always felt they had my best care in mind. I could write forever about how this place changed my life, but the reality is that there would never be enough words. This program, it's wonderful staff, and the people who come here make this place more than just a rehabilitation center. It's a home. I found myself here, I found my tribe, and I was able to unlock decades worth of trauma that led me to a life I didn't want to lead. After coming here I found the life I always wanted, and it all started here at Corner Canyon.

Corner Canyon is a great facility. They are very caring. When I entered the home after spending 4 days at a nearby PHP and residential, I felt the complete difference. The therapists are top notch- Katie, Kiera, Alex, Sara, Austin, Keanan. All are very good at trauma work. The mentors (behavior health techs) are also amazing. They actually care about the clients. Ones of note are Dante, Oba, Chelsee, Rebecca, and Ricky. They listen to concerns and try to make the best decisions for each client. Like all facilities, some clients will not like the rules, but they will actually listen to your concerns. Shaun in admissions is supportive and amazing.

I went to Corner Canyon because I was struggling with IBSC. I was on the verge of a feeding tube and colostomy. I needed help fast. I made the call on Martin Luther King’s Birthday. My insurance was closed. The next morning I was buying my plane ticket to Utah. I was scared but knew I had no choice. I was met with the best program. I had 3 psych ward stays and 14 years of therapy with a therapist and psychiatrist. It was just a complacent relationship with them. At Corner Canyon you get the best therapist and psychiatrist they are top notch. Within a two week period I was feeling better than I have ever felt in my life. After 33 years of severe depression and anxiety that eventually caused my IBSC. I can say I’m finally have the confidence, clear mind, and excited for what the future has to hold.
