Dove House - Women's Recovery Center

Is this tge same Dove house that was just North of Wahington St. Back in 2004?

I'm a Dove for life but I relapsed after 16 months. I was really getting it together. I didn't come back for almost a month. I was embarrassed and ashamed of relapsing. I've gone to treatment inpatient 30 days, recovery works PHP for 21 days, and now I'm at Meridian women's recovery home for 90 days. I'm currently in IOP at Meridian. My time here will be up 2/18/26. I'm praying to go back to Dove. They say NO because I was gone too long. I say I wasn't in my right mind. I was drinking and couldn't stop. Hopefully I'll get another chance! I love it there. 🙏

I’ve been familiar with Dove House through the recover community for 15 years and although they have evolved and even added locations, they remain focused on sobriety as a wholistic concept. Stopping the use of drugs and alcohol is just the beginning. The life skills and psychological tools they learn set them up for a lifetime of sustained recovery and improvement.

I LOVED the Dove House. They taught me more then I knew I could learn. The staff is beyond amazing. You get what you put in it. I spent 10 months here and found my new family. I recommend this to any woman struggling with addiction. This is the place you want to be.

I am currently at The Dove House now and I love it here. I didn’t like it at first because you go through a 30 day “blackout” period so I was extremely bored those 30 days. There are only a couple classes and meetings a week but this really isn’t technically a “rehab” as it is a sober living house. With that being said, it’s a great place. Yes… there is a waiting list that seems impossibly long. The reason for that is because there are some people here that have been here for years and others almost just as long so there isn’t room for any new people but they are slowly trying to work with them to get them to start transitioning out, that way we can get new people that really need this place in here. But if those people aren’t ready, then they aren’t going to push them. You understand that, right? As for the not being able to get through to anyone when you call, that’s due to them not having someone who’s on call taking all the calls. It rings through to the front desk and the RA’s are busy a lot and away from the desk. Be patient and know that come the first of the year, we will be taking more girls in and it could be you. All the staff members here are absolutely amazing! Almost all of them are in recovery themselves or have had someone very close to them suffer from it. Everyone here is part of the team and we all work together. It’s a great program. It’s the first 30 days that are hard.

This is the worst place!! I put in an application for a family member in desperate need over 2 months ago, iv called, emailed and called some more with no answers.. finally after weeks of trying to get ahold of someone just to get on the “waiting list” they reply to an email saying the application is still in review. So you are telling me, after more than 2 months, we still aren’t even on the 2-3 month waiting list?? If you are looking for real help, don’t even bother with this place because they clearly don’t care enough to even get back with you.. what a joke!!
