The photos on the website aren’t the actual building you go to at the Lawrence location. Don’t bring cash like they tell you, can’t use it anyways. If you vape bring about 5 cuz they don’t let you charge them??? You are welcome to use your phone to order necessities off Amazon or need to use GoPuff. Other than that, if you don’t list a person upon admittance, you cannot contact them. Even if it’s an emergency (yes I witnessed it). Inconsiderate & not good care for people who are recovering & in a bind. They kinda make it worse. Only take 7 of each clothing item, otherwise the rest goes into a shed that you CANNOT access for some reason. Inconsiderate & rude employees. You ask them for things & they either deliberately ignore you, act like it’s an inconvenience or “forget.” Depending on the person working the rules are different, inconsistent & favoring certain people. It should be the same all around. The groups/classes are same things you would get with outpatient in the comfort of your home. They feed you like toddlers. For example: 3(?!!!) corn dogs, undercooked tater tots, & tough broccoli… most the time the food is cold too. Don’t get me wrong, my 5 days (out of the 28 planned) helped me detox & feel better & I’m going to continue my treatment w someone else or in a different way. The environment didn’t help anything else.

i just graduated hickory 6-26-25. all the staff are respectful and seem like they genuinely care, the nurses are great and know what there doing. honostly i learned alot while i was there. am gonna miss it.

Honest review and one not incentivized by the owner/director to leave a positive review. Past clients on here were likely asked to leave positive feedback upon their discharge simply to boost the Google ratings for this center typically making the reviews fake. That’s how all these places work. Review: Management, especially the DON, is unstable at this facility. High staff turnover. This residential treatment center is one step above a men’s shelter with low paid unqualified staff. Clients are just sleeping and hanging around doing nothing. Not much actual recovery treatment happening here. Many clients here in the judicial system. There are many much better recovery centers out there and would caution against considering Hickory Treatment if you’re serious about your recovery journey

I was a client at hickory and have nothing bad to say about my stay. The BHT's were all knowledgeable, most of whom are in recovery themselves which as an addict, gives us all hope that life can and will get better. They're an inspiration to say the least. A special thank you to Mike, brandy, Juanita, and Justin, but like I said, they're all wonderful people. The nursing staff has been short handed and the ladies that they have there are working their tails off to make sure the clients have everything they need and on time. The kitchen staff always gave it their all and any client there will tell you that mammas hugs every morning make that place shine! The therapists and case managers are beyond qualified and more helpful than I could have ever hoped for. Andre, Nate, and Ethan run this place exactly how it should be ran. When problems arise, they handle it swiftly and tactfully. From maintenance issues to seemingly simple things like getting hair clippers because the old ones weren't working well. I love the fact that I was supported in placing God as a major part of my recovery. That was huge for me and many other clients. Like I said, zero complaints and I would advise anyone with a loved one that is struggling with addiction to take them to the hickory on N capital. From detox to aftercare. Ten out of ten

Hickory was a blessing from God. I could be myself in Christ! The staff was amazing from Andre, Nate, and Ethan to the awesome Kitchen staff (love you Momma), Case managers (thank you Shane and Brandi),Therapists (thank you Carol and Tish), Nursing Staff (thanks Nicole 😊, Kiera, Carrie and Amy), Housekeeping (Torrie and Mr King), maintenance, and the Foot soldiers and glue to this program THE BHT'S(ALL OF YOU TAKE A BOW, WITHOUT YOU GUYS MANY THINGS WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN DONE EFFECTIVELY 😊). I will keep all of you in my daily prayers asking for blessings upon blessings to each of you. This treatment center was about brotherhood, self examination, Groups to get the necessary tools for succes in Sobriety (if you use them), and getting ahold of your Higher Power, mine unapologetically is Jesus Christ! So, if you really want help, and will do whatever it takes to stay sober this is the PLACE! You'll get out of it what you put in it! Become a Hickory alum and call now!!

Where do I start, well Jesus take the wheel. I was a client/ Resident at Hickory Treatment Center at the Downtown Campus 2926 N Capitol avenue, and I want to say it's amazing man was I a hot mess and I didn't want to stay so I went to talk to Andre the facilities Director and told him how I was feeling and this Man said I understand but will you give it a week and if you still feel that way I will personally take you wherever you want to go. Well I never went back to him instead I stayed and it was the best decision that I have ever made. I was given the best care I ever imagined the staff is first class professionals the care of treatment was astounding the respect of staff is ten star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I felt like I was dreaming just it was real. So with this Said. If you are looking for recovery and want to get clean and sober I personally support and suggest that you go to Hickory Treatment Center and want your recovery and want to change nothing changes if nothing changes group meetings are the best peer leadership is those such as me knowing I need the help and tools to become a better person. The groups you are put in outside of the peer lead have case managers that are top of there professions and are people just like us on the same level and they know what they are doing so with that said if you really want recovery Hickory Treatment Center is the best. Now I have to give the team a shout out. Director Andre is very supportive and involved in the treatment of All of us and he has a door open policy for all. clinical Manager Nathan is the same involved with the care of us. Nursing staff that hands out are medicines go above and beyond to make certain our meds are right. Nichole,Amy, Carrie,Iesha,Micha,Uresa, and the rest you are so caring and I appreciate you for taking care of me. BHT staff Supervisor Ethan thank you. BHTs Mike, Justin,Wyhnitta,AJ, Larry, Shay, Leon,Laci, Ms Sarah lacrecia, and the rest I thank you for being there for me and the rest I will ever forget you. Therapist Ms Felicia thank you for helping me dig down deep to the things I didn't realize was the core of my addiction I didn't want to face that you helped me with. Brittany,Carol,ms Tish even though I was not able to get to know you yet you still helped me in other ways with just a smile I thank you I'm forever grateful to you. My case Manager Ms Bridget you are such a empowerment person that you seen the potential in me that I was to blind to see from My addiction and thinking, you are the best you Rock and I will always be indebted to you for the care you gave to me and the rest..
