This place is amazing, great program and wonderful staff that really care about your recovery and you as a person. The two chefs that feed you while in residential are amazing cooks. There is a few different therapists available to help you as well, and just like everyone else at I am Recovery they are well-trained and make a personal investment in your recovery. Other programs really just can't compete with this place, the amount of activities and different treatments that they offer is pretty amazing. If you need help getting off your addiction this the best place to get it for sure.

My name is Leo Alejandre i just graduated from I Am recovery and it’s changed my life I became addicted to prescription pills at 17 years old and since then I’ve spent 22 years out of 25 years of my adulthood incarcerated finally I was given an opportunity to participate in a residential treatment program instead of incarceration and I can honestly say I Am has changed my life for the first time I am not running back to the self destruction that is addiction my mother has her son back my kids have their father back. I have never experienced a recovery center as incredible as I Am Recovery! From the very first day, I was welcomed with open arms and made to feel comfortable. The staff is nothing short of amazing—down‑to‑earth, compassionate, and genuinely invested in each client’s well‑being. This isn’t one of those places where people show up just for a paycheck. Here, you feel the difference: they truly care. During my time there, I built bonds with my brothers that I’ll carry for life. We supported each other through deep traumas and painful memories, while also sharing unforgettable experiences. From spiritual trips to the hot pots, roasting marshmallows in the canyon, cold plunges, sweat lodges, hikes, ice skating, bowling, arcade nights, Jazz games, and speaker meetings that leave a lasting impact—every activity was meaningful, never forced, and always uplifting. The program offers in‑house NA meetings, access to local AA meetings, and lessons that are fresh and never repeated. Even after transitioning into PHP and IOP, the support continues. Sports like softball and volleyball kept me active, and the connection to the community never fades once you move into sober living. And let’s talk about the food—phenomenal! They have personal chefs who prepare healthy, made‑from‑scratch meals that are both delicious and plentiful. If something you love isn’t stocked, they’ll get it for you. Hungry between meals? No problem—make a sandwich, blend a smoothie, or grab a plate anytime. Pair that with access to the gym, yoga, sound baths, and breathing treatments, and you’ve got a program that nourishes both body and soul. What stood out most was the balance of freedom and support. Nothing felt forced. I was given space to grow, comfort when times were tough, and encouragement every step of the way. Family visits on weekends and nightly phone calls to safe contacts kept me connected to loved ones. Honestly, it felt more like a vacation than treatment—except this vacation changed my life. I’ve been to other centers and couldn’t last a week. At I Am Recovery, I didn’t want to leave. This place is home. Brothers for life. Real friends. A chance to build the life you’ve always wanted. Before coming to I AM Recovery you'd find me at 711 right before 7am to get beers and then meth, getting a false sense of confidence, hope, and reality. I was unable to manage my life alone. I was in tears most days 😭 not wanting live, not wanting to exist. I was lost... My dad's death just fed into my behaviors. When I wasn't trying to survive I was locked up in a cell and That had been my life since I was 13. Gangs, jail cells, homeless deals, and mind altering substances. Anything and everything that could blind me to not see my own life... I ended up in Tooele County jail, I got a phone number and a guys name: TYSON... I called, not expecting an answer or any love from him, for my self worth was trash... so why would I think that anyone could show me any love. I had made too many mistakes to not think that. I had been to different treatment centers and felt it was all business. I was bitter and frustrated. When TYSON answered my collect call from jail. I became alert ⚠️ and doubtful. First of all, a lot of treatment centers don't take collect calls and expect you to have money on your books. How could I search and find peace when I needed a dollar. Tyson not only answered once but every time I doubted... I was confused, I couldn't believe it... I even apologized because I was calling him so much doubting that he cared or that he would come pick me up. Then he showed up. I was embarrased 😳 I'll never forget that day. Ever since I spoke to him from jail my life began to transform. When I got to Residential my alerts kicked in again. This is not real I thought... 😐 Boy was I wrong... Everyone at I AM understands and listens to your back story and helps you build a solid recovery... KEITH has shown me so much love and has gotten my head out the gutter many times. I was genuinely seen. I don't feel like another chicken getting fed to be later slaughtered... today all my tears are of appreciation to those who helped me see that I AM worth it. That I AM human. And that I AM loved with all my imperfections. They worked with me since day one. My therapist OLIVIA who I also doubted in the beginning is amazing 👏 she's helped me deal with past abandonment, depression, and sexual traumas to name a few. I've done EMDR with her and I'm able to smile and laugh today 😃 They've held my hand and guided me every step of the way. They've got staff that will challenge you to become the better you and see the you GOD sees... I came out of every recovery group feeling worked out and hopeful. to put a cherry on top there is a fully equipped gym and a nutritionist. Her name is JEAN and she is amazing! I go to Walmart and buy with confidence. I couldn't do this before. It was always the same junk food... Pizza and chips. There is also a man by the name of SHAY. He pissed me off when he touched my wounds. I didn't know that he saw my wounds and was trying help me heal them. My natural self was resisting. Why would anyone care. My old self didn't want to let go of anything... he challenged me many times and helped me see 👀 😌 NATHALIE'S groups are awesome too. I feel nurtured and she is very wise and knowledgeable. I can go on for days talking about everyone here 😌 Thank you TYSON for not ignoring my collect call... We grow together baby! 🫡❤️

I will always love my experience

Before coming to I Am Recovery, I was hopeless—back in jail and ready to give up on life. Now I’ve finally found the peace I had been searching for all these years. I thank God for guiding me here. I went through all three phases—Inpatient, PHP, and IOP—and just graduated. Today I live with hope and purpose, and I’m so grateful to the staff and community at I Am Recovery for this truly life-changing experience.

I was a struggling heroin/fentanyl/meth addict.Who was homeless and in and out of jail. I lived this way for 12 years of my life and thought that I had no way out . Then I came to I Am Recovery and found a new way to live the staff and therapist here actually showed me love and showed to me that they truly were here to help me . At first it was really hard to accept that I was going into treatment and I was scared out of my mind but one of the therapist asked me a simple question they asked me to just STAY! And I did and it was the best decision I have ever made iny life I went through Residential treatment and not only found myself but I found a home .since then I have went through P.H.P and done I.O.P and completed the program I'm not going to say it was easy at all In fact it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but with the truly loving and therapeutic care this is center gave me I found away to break the chains of my addiction.i Absolutely would recommend to anyone struggling with addiction who has been to other treatment centers to give I Am Recovery a chance I promise that they will change your life it has mine and it will your if you give them the opportunity to help because this may be a treatment center but in reality it is a family and a home with people who love and care about you and want to see you succeed!!!!
