Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Licensed primary mental health facilities provide specialized care for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. By offering early intervention and comprehensive services, they promote overall well-being and prevent long-term complications.
Substance use disorders often occur alongside primary mental health conditions. Programs for co-occurring substance use disorders focus on both conditions, tailoring treatment for comprehensive recovery.

I had an extremely negative experience with Nicholas Call. I booked with him after leaving a treatment center, where I got sober and was able to stabilize. I was hoping to work with Nick on addressing trauma that led me to using in the first place. I was immediately put off. I shared some of my story with him and he immediately went into telling me that I seem to “need control” when it comes to my treatment. He went on to claim that a mental health diagnosis I’ve had for 11 years is incorrect… after having known me for 10 minutes. He made untrue claims about my family and seemed more interested in pushing his agenda than actually listening to me. I felt very unheard and uncomfortable throughout the entire session. I almost walked out but decided to push through the discomfort and give him a change. He then jumped immediately into doing trauma work with me in the very first session instead of building rapport and making sure I felt comfortable with him. I left the session feeling like I was pushed into something I wasn’t ready for and a few weeks later I’m still feeling uncomfortable. I feel like my trauma symptoms were actually worsened during this session. For some context, I’m a sexual assault survivor and have been pushing myself to see male therapists to help rebuild trust in men and work through my fear of them. I genuinely feel this session set me back. I debated posting this review but wanted to share my experience to help caution others wanting to book with him. I’m sure he’s the right therapist for some, but definitely not for me.
My new therapist is amazing! She listens to me! She is very easy to talk too!
I was miserable, depressed, and angry with life so I came to this place for some help. My counselor Nick diagnosed me with complex ptsd and for the first months we worked on EMDR therapy. Then after a few more months he seemed to get burnt out on me. Like he was tired of listening to me. The last time I saw him he literally threw his hands up and said he was in over his head and said I should go to McKay Dee Behavioral center and have a team work with me. That was pretty shattering for me. It made me feel broken and hopeless. I didn't see him after that and not one call or anything to see how I was doing or if I found someone that could "help" me. And after calling McKay Dee they told me they weren't taking new patients. So much for getting help.
We so appreciate the treatment our family has gotten from this team. Life changing.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tree of Life. They are such an asset to our community! I am so glad for the approach my therapist is taking with me. I began therapy looking for EMDR however had a few unexpected circumstances come up and my counselor was willing to pause the current treatment and give me the emotional support I needed to get through the bumpy patch. I have not ever felt like I am just a number or a dollar sign but that there is the genuine desire to help me succeed in my life.
Tree of Life Counseling in Ogden & Farr West provides exceptional services for children, adolescents, and adults. As a California law enforcement officer back in 2009, I experienced a critical incident, resulting in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and severe chronic post-Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSD/PTSI). Over the next 8 years, I went into therapy, but the professional therapeutic connections between myself and carious Ph.D’s and Psychiatrists was never there. After moving to Utah, I reached out in Northern Utah clinical counseling services and discovered there was factually, no services available where a First Responder would be able to go to, where our anonymity would be able to remain safe-guarded (in groups). After online researching, contacting Utah-based clinical agencies, and getting the “I’m sorry, we don’t provide specialized treatment in the area of First Responders.”....I found Tree of Life Counseling, My therapist has been terrific; using the necessary “tools”, including EMDR (studies have shown it works with severe trauma for memory recovery), I am going on 4 years of long-term treatment and my life is progressing in an amazing, positive, productive way. I can feel emotions, and my daily living skills are becoming easier to maintain (alcohol consumption, suicide ideation, financial and relationship self-sabotage, heightened anxiety from fear of safety, isolation). This treatment is long-term; progressing on my personal ability to accept change and do the “work.” I have found that my holding on to secrets because of feelings shame and not believing I could talk openly about the ugly horror-experiences I endured from child-hood on thru my career, when disclosed to Mr. Nick Call, I was met with acceptance and sincere investment in guiding me thru my own personal healing process. My life has changed beyond measure; I feel hope, acceptance, support, and calm again. 🙏🏼
The furniture and colors are such that you feel inviting and comfortable. Even the smell makes you feel at home.
Working with Nick Call has been one of the best experiences of my life. He is a asset to this community. His staff is extremely professional and kind.
