Vista Del Mar Hospital

I absolutely would not recommend a Vista Del Mar to any family in this place definitely is unsuitable for children as well ! The reason I say this is because I was a resident of Vista Del Mar taper unit from 1990 to 92 from the ages of 15 to the time I got discharged at the age of 17 ! Vista Del Mar staff and my peers literally bullied and tortured me basically almost the whole time I was there ! I was bullied and made fun of for the way that I looked the way I dressed most importantly because of my weight ! Many of you made up a bunch of lies rumors and stories about me which really hurt me that were absolutely false not true at all ! This caused me to have low self-esteem ! I'm not sure if you're aware but Belize the rumors and the stories ruined my reputation multiple times ! I just felt so uncomfortable living at Vista that ended up running away multiple occasions! staff and everybody made me even uncomfortable in my own skin to the point where I was bullied to the point where it no longer was just a fun and games it was very hurtful and it was done a purposely to the point where you even went as far as calling me or referring to me as a human pig ! It took years of therapy for me to fight through the pain and suffering that you caused me ! I'll be 51 in February this year and I can still remember the pain in the suffering the things that were said the stories how hurtful people really were and I guess those that might be reading this probably you know if you remember me should have known that rumors and lies ruin lives ! I just hope that your children if you did in fact have children became much better people and never treated their friends or peers the way that you treated me ! The only friends that I made while I was at Vista well everybody else Friday night scares me with Samantha Thomas Carrie sandeen Matt Ziff and Ben Shapiro ! You treated me with respect you're always kind very respectful and looked at me and treated me as a normal human being when everybody else deliberately hurt me and disrespected me and caused so much pain and suffering ! To Ben and Matt you were my only boyfriends that I had at Vista and what we had was very special and unfortunately we lost contact after we spoke for discharged from Vista and Matt we kept a relationship going when we went to Eris ! Now I don't know what happened to you that summer after we went to the guns n' roses Metallica concert at the Rose bowl but I miss you my friend I hope to rekindle my friendships with some of you hopefully this new year thank you for taking the time to read this and again this is not a place I would recommend sending your child because it seems like nothing really has changed the rules have remained the same since I left Vista about 35 years ago it's just unbelievable the things that I'm reading from former residents and their parents how horrible things have gotten ever since the day I left in 92

I endured more than my share of complete disrespect for human life ! Shortly after I got to Vista my peers made fun of me and I was bullied basically the whole time that I was at Vista for my appearance the wa I looked the way that I dressed a lot of you when is far is referring me as the human pig ; many of you deliberately ruin my reputation by starting lies rumors and stories that were so far-fetched it took me years to rebuild my self-esteem and my reputation ! You all made it very difficult and hard for me to make friends that's why I able to so many times because people may be so uncomfortable and unwelcomed ! The staff were not trained at very well to deal with the emotional abuse in The bullying that I went through and had to deal with I took many years of therapy to undo the scars and the damage that I experience while I was at the ! The only friends that I actually did make was Carrie sandeen Matt Ziff Samantha Thomas Ben Shapiro ! Ben Shapiro if you're reading this I want you to know that you were my first boyfriend ever and I really would like to say that I just wish that we had standing contact even after I left this to think of a relationship would have really blossomed into something really truly amazing I always refer to you as my soulmate and the one that allowed to get away ! You were the only guy that treated me with love dignity and respect ! Matt you were my best best friend even when we left Vista and went to Eris together ! I miss you my friend I often wonder whatever happened to you that summer after we intended the Guns n' Roses and Metallica concert ! Carrie what can I say you and I went all the way to Hamilton high school I graduated together ! You were another really great friend and I just wish that we have stayed in touch in contact with each other after high school you're another one that I miss and hope to reconnect in the future God bless you all happy holidays hopefully we see each other or can meet up with each other in 2026 it's been a long time ! We have a lot of catching up to do so I'm keeping the faith take care

I am a former resident of Vista Del Mar I was there from 1990 the 1992 from 15 discharge the day before my 17th birthday in 1992 ! Vista Del Mar cursed a lot of scars and I went through a lot of Harassment the staff and students bullied me nobody ever really took Accountability or Responsibility for their actions ! My Reputation was Destroyed by Rumors Stories and Lies ! I was accused of things that Never occurred or Happened ! Because of my experiences Vista Del Mar I ended up with PTSD and severe Depression ! l spent a lot of time in therapy to correct a lot of things that Vista Del Mar had caused a lot of Pain and unnecessary Suffering especially when it came to my Reputation that I had to rebuild ! When I first went to Vista Del Mar yes I was a little bit overweight and I was made fun of because of the way that I dressed the way that I looked for about a yea ! People would make pig noises because they thought my face and my nose looked like a pig ! I was even called the Human pig or referred to the Human pig ! which was insulting just down right rude mean and hurtful ! I never made fun of anybody I never joked and caused any harm or painful hurtful things to any of my peers ! i don't understand why Vista allowed this to go on for such a very long time ! I didn't have very many friends because I had trust issue and I had a very low self-esteem due to the way I was treated ! the friends that I did have was Matt Ziff Ben Shapiro Carrie Sandeen And Samantha Thomas ! Ben Shapiro was my very first boyfriend that I had it Vista when I was about to turn 16 he was a very special young man who looked at me as a human being never made fun of me and I fell in love with him and I just wish that a relationship would have blossom way after we both left Vista I still think about that often wonder what life could have been or what happened I would love to reconnect with him just to see where he is and what he has been up to and reconnect our friendship one day! I would never send my children or my grandchildren ever to this facility even though they made a lot of changes but from what I have heard from the reviews that the policies the rules are still as strict if not stricter than they were when I was there ! For those of you who were at Vista from 1990 to 92 that might be readin g this I just wanted you to know how what you did was not right but it made me stronger I have forgiven you but I don't wish this on anybody and I hope that your children became better people than yourselves when you were that age nobody should ever have to face and adore and go through the pain and suffering that you put me through when I was a Vista making fun of me for the shape of my body my weight or even calling me a human pig that's disgusting that's nasty I would never do that to anybody and I am now 50 years old ! There were stories that were made up about me that for a long time it just couldn't live down and I couldn't convince anybody otherwise if you only knew the life that I lived and the things that experience before I went to Vista del Mar maybe you wouldn't have made up the stories and the lies like you did because nobody should ever have to go through that much pain trauma and sorrow I came from a broken home and a very dysfunctional family to begin with this is just maybe 10 times worse

I went to go live at Vista Del Mar Spring of 1990 to Winter of 1992 ! Shortly after I moved into Taper one the girls unit at the time I was made fun of and bullied for my weight the weight that I looked especially having a double chin and everyone thought at the time that I looked like a pig especially with the double chin and the shape of my nose ! For a very long time a lot of my peers at Vista Del Hell what make up the most ridiculous stories lies and rumors about me ! I had two wonderful boyfriends what was that Vista Ben Shapiro and Matt Ziff who really cared about me and saw the true beauty within and realized that I was a very beautiful kind young lady who had a lot to give and been through so much that didn't deserve this torture and deserve to be treated like an animal ! At one point those of you who might be readiness who were living episode Delmar might remember that I was called or referred as the human Pig ! I just want you to know that really hurts that you know what because of my experiences of this says maybe a very beautiful strong and successful woman today ! The step I don't think they had enough training or were equipped to deal with bullying like this I don't think bullying should ever be okay and that it should be dealt with in a very delicate sensitive matter ! After it left Vista I had to go through a lot of therapy to undo the damage that I went through ! Today I still deal with post-traumatic stress I like to add that I'm 50 years old this year ! Ben if you ever read this I still love you and I still think a lot about you ! I am happily married and I have three grown children now ! I do believe that you were my soulmate and I often wonder what life would have been like if we stayed connected after we both Left Vista ! my girlfriend has been here for only a year now and its clear just how abusive it is here. fights happen all the time, people are literally stripped of their communication methods, and overall its just not a good place to be. if you send your kid to this place you’re just as bad as these staff here.

I do not recommend this place, vista del mar called an ambulance on me for a small deal and when I was there I would get harrased physically and verbally I told them to stop myself but they wouldn't stop so when I then asked the staff for help they were useless and didn't even help me and crazy kids running around like its some playground sneaking into restroom which the restroom I dont highly prefer it, as there is no lock and its like a curtain lack of privacy and respect. vista del mar is highly strict with their policies but they lack accountability and patient treatment. even one staff encouraged patients to be immature and wreckless. and they are helpless and unprofessional.

I was here recently and the staff and kids don’t care the food is always undercooked some staff say messed up stuff and it’s bad never send anybody here

I was here & staff sent a man to my initial gyno appointment. Who then molested me. They did nothing to mario.lopez. i called cops & dcfs. Nothing was done. I went from victim to suspect. So I ran away. Never came back. Don't Send anyone here. They r greedy money hungry convicts who don't care about the children's well being.
