I do not understand why this Hospital does not get better reviews. I have never had anything but a positive experience. Everyone on the staff has been kind, friendly and caring. The medical staff is knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything to you. The facility is clean and tidy. I for one, am thankful that I chose this hospital and location.

Beware of their ER. My family member was experiencing some mental issues. She was calm, answered their questions, and was not combative. Her psychiatrist and general practitioner wanted her to go there and be admitted through er so she could be evaluated , observed, and started on medication. I told er psychiatrist assistant they wanted her admitted. She talked to the psychiatrist and reported back that she was being sent home and should follow up with her doctors. After begging them to keep her and telling them we did not feel safe with her going home she reported back to psychiatrist. She then came back and told me they were going to keep her but transfer her to psychiatric hospital by ambulance because Franciscan is not equipped to have dementia patients . I informed her she has NEVER had confirmed diagnosis of dementia . She insisted her previous hospital records confirmed dementia. She was strapped from shoulders all the way down on the gurney. I was told by er doctor I could tour facility and sign her out if I wasn't happy . Without my knowledge , they did an involuntary admit to the psychiatric hospital. The hospital was locked and you absolutely could not tour. My phone had to be placed in a locked locker. No outside food could be brought in. I had to see her in a visitation room. I wad terrified how this setting would affect her. She was there through Christmas holiday. She was sent there because we had made psychiatric assistant angry. It was spiteful. I would never imagine a Healthcare worker being so cruel. Do not take you loved one's there or even your enemies.

Fransiscan has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I dont reccomend any of their services or establishments.

I had a great experience here. I came in through the emergency room and was admitted the wait was not that bad at all. I thought it was gonna be a bad experience based on reviews but it wasn't bad at all. Every doctor and nurse were extremely pleasant and kind. I recommend anyone come here when you get sick

Five stars is for the nurse Alex only but the hospital alone is 1 star horrible. Alex was an amazing nurse if I could give him more than 5 stars I would. Everyone else horrible front desk is horrible.

I was referred to Dyer Franciscan Hospital by my doctor which is from Franciscan Hospital in Michigan City..Well, after 3 tries to have an MRI done and it being canceled and rescheduled due to staffing issues..ive had enough...The individuals who run this Hospital should be ashamed of the lack of service to their patients ...ive been going to Franciscan for over 30 years if this is what they call progress & and advanced medical services,God help them...

Wouldn't let me go upstairs to be with my family before they pulled the plug on my husbands grandmother all because I had my 2 year old son with me. I understand its flu season but youd think they make an exception in a situation like this.

I go to the pain clinic however everyone from the moment you walk in are wonderful and helpful from the ladies at the front desk check in to the beautiful human beings in the gift shop everywhere i have been has been very clean lobbies, restrooms, waiting rooms, cafeteria, hallways and the nursing staff are sweethearts that are very patient and professional the Doctors are knowledgeable and compassionate and take time to explain things i personally tell them to break it down like your talking to a 2 year old and they find a way to make it simpler for me so i understand and am confident in what's happening with my medical issues and care i have a special love for them all i hope they know how great they really are all they need are capes and in their own way they have a little super hero in them.
