The highest level of care, medically managed with 24-hour nursing and physician care in a residential or medically-based setting, and can include any combination of medication, counseling and therapy.
Some primary care providers offer mental health diagnosis and treatment. This can prevent patients from developing more serious conditions.
Substance use and mental health can occur simultaneously as co-occurring disorders. Treatment for co-occurring disorders involves therapy and other personalized interventions to address both conditions.

Always a positive experience
Always get great care at Ft Wayne VA. I was admitted earlier this year for 4 days and the Dr's, nurses and general staff were kind and caring. I'm glad they are there for us veterans.
In and out, friendly people and good in environment
Very professional care given here to qualified veterans
I have an SRDI went in for a reviewI feel that the VA reviewers are biased against us it's easy to seeI just got deniedAgain! They don't want to believe you
We came in from Alabama and the medical service in Ft Wayne has been exception. Now getting VA medical service and couldn't be happier with the service and doctors at this VA medical hospital.
I've had nothing but poor experiences at the Fort Wayne VA. I've spoken with and seen the advocate multiple times but nothing ever happened. Most recently I was trying to get a dermatology appointment but had a bad experience and ended up going to a dermatologist with my private insurance. I called and made an appointment and verified that I would be seen and photos taken same day. When I attended my appointment the nurse stated that I would have to make a follow up appointment to have photos taken and then a third appointment if the dermatologist determined that I needed to be seen. I stated that I verified when I made the appointment that photos would be taken the same day and the nurse said they would not be taking photos and there wasn't anything she could do and sent me to the advocate. The advocate took my complaint and that was the last I heard from them. I ended up getting an appointment with Fort Wayne dermatology and they were great. I don't wish VA health care upon anyone. All of the complaints about the VA from veterans is warranted and it very disappointing that veterans health is not a priority.
VA Hospital has been a great provider of primary care and emergency care. They've taken great care of me.
