In a PHP, patients live at home but follow an intensive schedule of treatment. Most programs require you to be on-site for about 40 hours per week.
Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Some primary care providers offer mental health diagnosis and treatment. This can prevent patients from developing more serious conditions.
Substance use and mental health can occur simultaneously as co-occurring disorders. Treatment for co-occurring disorders involves therapy and other personalized interventions to address both conditions.
Absolutely the best rehab experience of many! Feels like home and a family they truly care and the program taught me a lot! Counselors are great! Has a professional music studio! Everything is upscale! Thank You so much Vanity

I wanted what was best for my daughter. Who calls me mom yes she is my step daughter but we do not use that word in our home she calls me mom and I am her go to for everything. But, Everytime I get she wants to talk to stepmom, hi is this step mom? No thank you. All we ever got out of it was nurse calls of headache and back pain. Side note: she wants Tylenol nearly everyday we suggest water and rest unless it’s severe. She’s been going and got dropped down to 3 half days well no coping skills still the harmful behaviors to self and all we were told is we should try more medication more medication.. what she needs is coping skills to help her get through struggles and hard times. But nope straight to meds. But, wait there’s more. Contact cps and tell them my daughter expressed her father throwing someone at her 2 years ago.. blown way out of proportion. Far fetched I would say especially when my daughter goes everywhere with her father smiling and saying I love you daddy you’re the best. Your staff filed someone based on something she said of two years ago. I am a teacher I love children and whatever is in their best interest. If there was ever any fear or concern we would not be the loving blended family we are. I do not recommend the faculty which pains me because we need to have places that work with families to help the struggling children the broke. Hearted who need to have the tool to mend back together and be the amazing children they are!

horrible, useless waste of time PHP. staff is extremely unprofessional and rude, psychiatrist has no idea what he’s talking about. daily activities include useless worksheets, bingo, being gaslit, and smoke breaks outside (the only good part). they straight up lied in my patient reports/clinical notes, diagnosing me with conditions i don’t have and stating that my school made me attend.

OK men's trauma group with a Russian-native psychiatrist (Ed Steinberg MD) who barely spoke English. That was amusing, needless to say. -Dr. 🧢

ABSOLUTLY horrible. Rude staff who lied to me about my daughter, and lied to my daughter about me. Risked her health and wellbeing. Please do research, the staff here was rude and made my daughter worse.

I attended the DBT track at Princeton House to work through depression, anxiety, and agoraphobia. The program gave me real tools to regulate my emotions and the language to understand what I was going through. My therapist, Danielle, was incredible — compassionate, attentive, and honest in a way that helped me feel truly seen and supported. The group therapy format was also essential to my healing. The other clients made me feel safe and accepted, which created a space where I could open up without fear of judgment. The environment was respectful, and the women who run the program are strong, grounded, and deeply caring. I also want to highlight the art therapist, Jenna. Every time I was placed in the art room, it felt like a moment of peace. She truly knows what she’s doing, and when other groups felt overwhelming, her sessions helped regulate my nervous system in a calming, supportive way. I definitely recommend this program. My only critique is that it can be a bit disorganized with planners and materials. And a tip for future clients: it’s easy to care deeply for others in group, but don’t forget to put your healing first. You can’t support others if you’re still trying to stay afloat yourself. Great program, life-changing support, and an incredible community.

I had a good experience at the New Brunswick location. The staff was extremely helpful. Heather, Meghan, Kami, Jenna, Ciani and Brian were all great. I still have a ways to go in my recovery, but I am doing much better than when I went in. The group therapy is very helpful.

I had very bad depression but this place did absolutely nothing for my condition. Met once a week briefly with the staff psychiatrist. The rest of the time was not really structured for helping my condition. Thanking God my depression lifted with the help of my family and not Princeton.

Where do I start. I was in a really bad state and so my therapist recommended me Princeton House. I was admitted to the young adult group. At first, I really liked it, I really liked some of the groups, especially the cbt groups. I ended up having a mental breakdown in one of the groups and didn't attend the rest of them for a bit. My therapist noticed and came to talk to me, and I tried to explain to her what happened and I started sobbing and she refused to listen to me. All she said was that I should go from partial hospitalization to IOP or maybe I should leave and go to the woman's programs upstairs. I kept saying "no i want to stay here I just need to talk about this one thing" and she just...didn't want to listen! It felt like she didn't want to deal with me! The psychiatrist there was also for some reason really focused on my sexuality and kept saying that the reason for my depression is because of my sexuality??? Even though I kept saying no?? Again, I was in a very vulnerable state and it felt like the therapists and group leaders there only wanted easy patients. I really wish mental health treatment in NJ was better, places like this do not really care. I went here for help and instead my mental heath deteriorated and I ended up being admitted to a mental hospital. The only good thing about this place is the nurse there is really nice, shes a real one.
