St. Joseph Recovery Center’s flagship location in Parkersburg, West Virginia treats substance use and co-occurring anxiety, depression, and trauma. It offers medically supervised detox, residential treatment for adults, a 12-week intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults or teens, and standard outpatient care. Mobile services also bring medication-assisted treatment (MAT), therapy, and psychiatric support to 19 counties in West Virginia. Build Skills For Lasting Recovery Care teams include medical clinicians, therapists, case managers, and peer recovery specialists. Counseling blends group and individual sessions and teaches relapse prevention tools that support life after treatment. The program also offers equine therapy to build insight and connection, plus a veteran track for tailored, trauma-informed residential care. Settle Into A Structured Daily Routine Residential days start with wake-up, nursing services, breakfast, and a 9:00 a.m. group. Clients attend groups, individual therapy, and activities like hiking or farm outings, with breaks built in. Lunch is served at noon and dinner at 5 p.m., catered by a local café. Evenings allow limited TV and phone time, while clients have opportunities to attend church on Sundays and 12-Step meetings during the week. IOP Support Helping Teens Keep Life On Track An adolescent IOP supports teens ages 12–17 with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Teens attend group therapy four days a week plus two individual or family sessions weekly, for 12 weeks. Care includes dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), with telehealth and some transportation support.
