Finding an effective rehab program has been a challenge. As a counselor and pastor with over four decades of experience, I’ve seen firsthand the struggle of so many addicts trying to break free. I’ve worked with individuals who have been through various rehab centers, both with and without insurance, and it’s never an easy road. But when I read the reviews for this place, my heart found hope.
Addiction doesn’t just affect the addict—it devastates families, too. So when my granddaughter finally began to experience healing and recovery here, it was a God thing - a blessing. The journey to get her here wasn’t easy. We had a tough time convincing her to go to rehab—it was a struggle, and at one point, the day we finally convinced her and arranged the day to take her she even left her mom’s apartment, and we had to search for her. Getting her into our car was a battle.
We prayed and prayed and won the battle. When we arrived at the facility, everything changed. She was greeted by Gabriel, a young man who took the time to listen to her. We prayed and prayed, and through Gabriel’s kindness and patience, she agreed to stay.
Later once her head was clear, she shared, "as soon as I was admitted, I felt the love—it was palpable. The owner’s wife welcomed me with a hug," My granddaughter was overwhelmed by it. She shared that, for the first time in a long while, she didn’t felt unjudged and seen. That day she was shocked that the owners wife hugged her because she was dressed awful and said her feet was all dirty because she had excaped from her moms apartment to out into the woods.
This facility is truly one of a kind. From the moment you step in, you feel the warmth and compassion in the air. The staff doesn’t just go through the motions—they are dedicated, trained, and truly care. Dell, the owner, is a fountain of wisdom. He’s built a team that embodies his holistic approach to recovery. There’s also Dr. Richie Cole, a clinical psychologist with a background in addiction. You can find his story on YouTube. On the surface, he might look intimidating with his tattoos and long beard—he’s a biker, after all—but when he speaks, you can hear the love, empathy, and deep wisdom that pours out of him.
And I can’t leave out the meals— my gradaughter says it's incredible! The food is top-notch, from carne asada tacos to steak and fresh salads. She said sometimes Dell cooks for them adn his wife brings goodies. My granddaughter jokes that she’s worried she might gain weight, but they also have a small gym area and even massage chairs and she’s started working out.
I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s a place of healing, of care, and of hope. I encourage anyone struggling or supporting a loved one to read the reviews and reach out. And as for the facilities themselves—the rooms are nice, each with its own bathroom, and the patio offers a breathtaking view of the city. It’s a place where recovery isn’t just possible—it’s embraced.
