I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (bipolar type), PTSD and schizoaffective. A few years ago I was having a very difficult time & decided to try this place out. What a terrible experience for someone with my mindset. I waited hours to be seen, or even spoken to. The staff I encountered were all unprofessional and not even the least bit concerned of their patients. I should also mentioned aside from one other person leaving as I got there, I was the only patient in the waiting room. I was already weary because of a situation my brother went through with this place, but I went against my better judgement and decided to go. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a single soul on this planet. If anything, I’d seriously recommend the state to do some deep investigating on this place and the people “running” it. I talked to two different people on an iPad, they didn’t make eye contact with me once and they were not listening to me at all. Do not waste your time. If you have severe mental issues and need actual help, do not go here.

If I were able to leave a zero star I would. I recently moved to Oklahoma and I am in the process of establishing a residency. I made an appointment at grand mental health to just get establish with an Oklahoma doctor so when I ran out of my medication, I could have it refilled. I also mentioned that one of the medications I was on I could no longer afford once I ran out. ($1,497 a month) To me I considered that a "crisis" let's be honest, who can afford that a month? That right there is what put me in the worst position I have ever been in. Roughly four years ago I was diagnosed with prolonged grief disorder. Let me say it again. I walked into this place with a diagnosis AND medication. The first thing I was forced to do was sign up for soonercare. ( I say forced because I was told this is state protocol and they had to fill it out) I told the gentlemen I do NOT qualify due to my income. I have a full time job and so does my significant other that lives with me. He basically told me since we weren't married, if the state asks, "he just stops by to visit". I am still receiving state benefits in the state I JUST moved from. Even after stating that, I was ignored. That all happened within the first 15 minutes of being there. My anxiety was skyrocketing at that point. I was breaking the law! I was taken into a little room with an IPad to speak with a counselor. The first counselor I was set up with I couldn't understand due to her heavy accent. I was able to make out "118" that was my "name". I muted the iPad and asked for a different counselor. This counselor was very friendly and comforting at first. After telling her why I had to seek treatment back in 2022 (when I was diagnosed with prolonged grief disorder) she instantly changed her attitude and I was on lock down. Despite clarifying with them that I was not in a "mental health crisis" they said it was too late and they had already obtained a court order to send me involuntarily so it had to happen. Next thing I know I am terrified locked in the back of a car being sent to a crisis center. My mother who is a nurse and has been for 30 plus years was with me. They refused to listen to her as well. I am leaving out a lot of details due to PTSD from this whole situation. Now, I am having to seek treatment to get over the things I witnessed in this so called crisis center. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Parents should be aware that one of Grand Mental Health’s staff members, Kyrie H (formerly Kyrie C), has had a substantiated finding from child welfare authorities involving serious concerns regarding the treatment of a child. Despite this official determination, she is still reportedly working in roles where she may have contact with children, including through school partnerships. While licensing and legal processes may take time, many families would want to be fully informed when selecting providers. I hope Grand Mental Health will reconsider what kind of safety and transparency standards they hold for those working with vulnerable populations.

Taylor only cared about getting the hours that the state requires. Not about my mental health. Her attitude was rude and not caring or understanding. Jenny was very nice caring and helpful. Doctors cancelling my appointments. And not rescheduling when I really needed it.
