Levels of Care
Our admissions team will work with you to explore the right payment options based on your needs, ensuring you get the best possible treatment.
The highest level of care, medically managed with 24-hour nursing and physician care in a residential or medically-based setting, and can include any combination of medication, counseling and therapy.
Some primary care providers offer mental health diagnosis and treatment. This can prevent patients from developing more serious conditions.
Substance use and mental health can occur simultaneously as co-occurring disorders. Treatment for co-occurring disorders involves therapy and other personalized interventions to address both conditions.
Absolutely the best rehab experience of many! Feels like home and a family they truly care and the program taught me a lot! Counselors are great! Has a professional music studio! Everything is upscale! Thank You so much Vanity

On day 4 of my hospital admission, which was day 15 of my persistent and escalating symptoms, I reported severe pelvic pain, pressure, radiating discomfort, and functional impairment. Walking was the only activity that helped relieve the pain, and I specifically did so because I wanted to avoid taking blood thinners during my stay. I clearly communicated this to my physician, yet my clinical notes inaccurately describe me as “ambulating the halls,” misrepresenting both my experience and the purpose of my movement. Despite objective findings and repeated reports of worsening symptoms, I was told I was “not in pain” and “not inflamed” because a CT scan performed one week prior did not show inflammation. This outdated scan continued to be used as the sole justification for dismissing my symptoms. After advocating for myself, my clinical notes were updated to include statements such as “patient thinks she has inflammation,” and that I required psychiatric evaluation despite my concerns being entirely physical and focused on appropriate medical care. These statements misrepresent my experience and minimize the reality of my pain and functional impairment. I would never forget the patient experience I had with Dr. Blanche Echikunwoke. It was very unpleasant and left me feeling dismissed and unheard during a time when I was in significant pain and distress. It’s also sad to see that, while there are healthcare providers who truly want to help and work hands-on with patients, the care I received was fragmented. Specialists came in and out of my room, each with different plans of care, leaving me sitting in pain with little coordination or consistency. This type of care makes it very difficult for patients to get the help they need. Misdocumentation, dismissive treatment, and fragmented care can negatively impact patient outcomes. They may influence how future providers interpret a patient’s medical history, delay proper evaluation or treatment, and cause unnecessary stress and confusion. Patients deserve care that reflects their current symptoms, clinical context, and ongoing experience, rather than outdated imaging, mischaracterized activity, or inconsistent plans of care. Accurate documentation, attentive listening, and coordinated treatment are critical for safe and effective care.
The ER has improved dramatically
Consumer Beware- A lot of Emergency Room staff here are very dismissive, judgemental, and unconscionable when it comes to listening to patient's symptoms. This place will cherry pick those who they wish to cater to and lemon drop those they feel are malingering. They'll be sure to get their needs met as for as registration goes so they get paid that you can count on. As far as having compassion and empathy again is at their discretion as to who gets any. Very unfair to the consumer though and medically unethical in how some will get treated. I have requested to speak about these issues with the ED director M.D Tyler Stepsis for over a week and the guy "isn't there today" after my third attempt of trying to reach out to him. Left messages with triage nurses at the ED counter and yet still the guy never responded to my requests. Just note if your treatment turns out unfair just know you're not alone...I wouldn't take it to personal as this is how the place is prone to operate.
This place has went down hill I get they are busy but 4 hr not seen we left people vomiting in hall it was gross. Nurses sitting laughing at desk. He had a feeding tube thought it fell out if it did you have so long before closes we will never go back there
Took my sister there today she’s been having chest pains and vomiting. They made her sit for over an hour! I had to call ANOTHER HOSPITAL To see what their wait time was!!! 0 wait!!! So guess what my sister turned in her band to which the nurse at the desk didn’t even look up from her phone. Didn’t say a word as we walked out of the hospital. No one asked us what was going on or why we were leaving we just left and I took MY sister to where I know she would be cared for!!!!
Worst hospital in Indy. They'll always be Wishard to me
I love Eskenazi Hospitand Clinics. The doctors, nurses and staff are amazing. I won't go anywhere else even in a emergency.
Going there for an emergency and stay for 5 hours at the waiting room. that’s not how emergency should be handled.
